Xbox One gets hot?

Ok well now it makes noise and you can hear it but its very minimal. Do other people's xbox one make noise? Please reply

Just got another and having the same issues

 

Is it like a squeaking noise from the fan area? My console makes it every so often and it can be quite loud. I've already had a replacement for the same reason but it still makes the noise.

 

It only happens when I'm on the dashboard but when im playing games it doesn't... It makes noises on netflix etc

 

This needs looking into microsoft.

I have the same problem it appears to have affected the majority of Kinectless models released back in June. The noise appears after the update has been installed when setting up the console (works fine before that).

Returning it to the seller does nothing as like i said the problem will return once you start to install the system update to the console

Unfortunately MS have offered no solution to this matter only saying anyone with it should send it to them for repair claiming it is a hard drive problem. Well it clearly isn't a hard drive problem as I doubt hundreds of Xbox One's would all have faulty
hard drives. The fact it appears after the system update proves it is a software problem so Microsoft need to sort their crap out and create a patch to solve this

 

Have microsoft acknowledged that this is a problem affecting some xbox ones without kinect?

 

I too am experiencing this. I now have my 5th Xbox One and once I apply this update, the console turns it's self off, turn's it self back on and I can then hear the fan making a clicking noise along with some static at times.

 

IceJaiden they have been as useless as ever giving us a straight answer the only thing they are saying is that oh dear you need to send your console off for repairs we are sorry that you have just spent £400/$400 of your money.

they have said the same thing for this problem and the recent problem involving new consoles not reading game disks.

personally I feel sorry for the guys they employ to fix the consoles because at this rate there must be hundreds coming in every week!

 

People have sent them back and the problem happens again or they get sent back with a note stating no repair done as not faulty.. Does anyone know if connecting the kinect stops the noise?

 

I have my console with Kinect plugged in and it still makes a weird noise. It is similar to this noise
I'm guessing I need to exchange it?
