    So this did not happen until last night. I was playing Ghost Recon with a buddy, then decided to switch to R6S. The sound didn't work at all and I tried to uninstall and reinstall. No luck. Then when I tried all my other games, none of them had sound working.
    Tried a different HDMI cable. Tried altering audio setting on xbox AND games. Nothing worked so far. I'm using a sony headset if that helps with anything. I tried turning up the TV and still can't hear the games. And the disk won't eject when I press eject
    too. Please help.

    I'm having the same problem. Except I can hear xbox sounds like maneuvering through friends list or chatting in a party. But my games have absolutely no sound

    i can hear the conversation in the Xbox parties, but no sound from the game or notifications can be heard.

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    Hi

    Are you on the Insider Alpha skip ahead builds? If so it is a known issue they are working on fixing.

    If not, try the reset as suggested and hopefully that will fix it.

    xbox slim "whisper quite" issue.....

    The sound you are hearing is not the fan. The fans barlely make any noise, The sound you are hearing is your xbox drive working. You can just silence the maniacal parts to a drive. Theres always going to be a little sound coming out of the xbox 360 slim.

    Like i said. Does the noise you hear only come when you are playing a game off a disc?
