Xbox One no longer tracking offline achievements.

Before the early August update for the system, I used to be able to play offline and when I got back online I would retroactively unlock the achievements I would have had I been online at the time. I've even had messages say "Warning. Offline achievements
nearly full", but that was months ago, and it stopped coming up when I started getting online every day. So ultimately, for example- I played dozens of games, like Alien Isolation completely offline, only to get online a few hours later and have the proper
achievements unlock.

However, ever since the update, my system doesn't track offline achievement progress anymore. I played Resident Evil 5 after the update while offline, beat it, and when I reconnected not a single achievement unlocked. I played Resident Evil 0 to the halfway
point before the system update, and when I got online a few days prior, it unlocked a bunch of achievements, but then after the update, I went back and beat the game, and when I got back online, not a single achievement unlocked.

Played The Walking Dead Season 1, no achievements when I got back online.

I tried doing this- Deleting my profile and redownloading. Deleting the games and redownloading them. Deleting everything and starting back at system default. Nothing has helped the situation.

To those wondering why I play offline more often than not, is because I work security, and since I'm overnight, they allow staff to play video games, but do not allow access to the wireless network. I have a gaming briefcase that has a monitor built in
and have the Xbox One strapped into it. I get online about once every other day to download something or play a game or two of Titanfall or whatever before heading back to work.

Offline Achievements no longer tracking. PLEASE HELP.

Since its been 3 weeks with no reply, I'm assuming you found nothing.

Problem solved. I bought a hotspot and connect to XBL before turning the hotspot off to conserve data. Before night is over I reconnect. Bam. Offline Achievements unlocked.

When I first got my original model Xbox One, I was initially confused why I wasn't getting achievements while playing games offline. I quickly found out that its supposed to track the achievement progress, and any achievements you earned would be unlocked
when it was reconnected to the internet. Not a problem. I would go to work, set up my system, play a bit through the night, go home, hook it back up to the internet at my house.

Achievement Unlocked

After one of the system updates about a year ago it all stopped. I would play through a game, but every day when I reconnected to the internet I would no longer unlock achievements. I never go more than 12 hours disconnected.

I tried resetting the console, deleting the profile and redownloading, power cycling the system, but nothing works. I tried making a new profile and played some games while offline at work, but when I came home, it too didn't unlock anything.

I went out yesterday to buy a new Xbox console. The Halo Wars 2 1tb model. I redownloaded the profile, the games, set it as my home xbox, set it all up... went to work... played through some Bioshock 1, and some Duke Nukem 3D World Tour, and when I got
home about two hours ago, yet again, no achievements unlocked. I check the progress in the tabs, and there is no progress. No "Done!... Unlocking...". Nothing.

Many games are getting screwed up because of this, since my game progress remains, but any achievement progress is gone. Most achievements now a days are unlocking out of order when I play a game while home on a day off. When Titanfall 2 came out, I beat
the campaign on Master difficulty over the course of a week at work, and each day, no achievements unlocked. When I finally played some at my house, on my day off, when I started the tutorial it unlocked the achievement for beating it on Master (and all other
difficulties). THEN I got the Tutorial achievement after I finished it.

Trying to figure it out myself, I've tried playing games with easy to get achievements, because I remember I used to get "Offline Achievements almost full!" messages periodically, but even now I don't get any messages warning me about it.

Can someone please try following my steps, and if it still works for you, then... I don't know.

When I go to work... 1- I turn off my system. 2- Unplug it. 3- Bring it to work. 4- Hook it up. 5- Turn it on at a location with no internet connection. 6- Set the date/time to the proper date/time manually (have to since it defaults to 2014). 7-
Play a game. 8- Repeat steps 1-5, but with it being at home WITH internet connection.

 

Hi there!

Since it only started happening after you got the update, and you have done the proper procedures, being that you should re-download your profile and such, this may be an update problem.

If that's the case, then it's just a matter of hoping that a fix comes quickly for this soon.

Also, can you try unlocking an Achievement while online?

I can unlock achievements online, but as I said it doesn't track them offline.

When I got home after beating RE5, I had to go back and go through the levels online in order to get the achievements, which caused a few of them to be out of order. Such as- "Complete the game on Casual, Normal, Veteran, right after getting the first levels
achievement of "Complete Chapter 1-1."

 

I too am having this problem. I didn't have internet for a few days and I got the last of the figurine collectibles. I also got all of the versus characters. The achievements for these, however, are not popping. This is extremely annoying because if I wanted
to unlock these achievements as of now I would have to delete my local game content and start over as I cannot get these collectibles again.

Sorry to hear about the achievement trouble. To check, after you connect to Xbox Live does the achievement show up as 'Done and Unlocking...' under the achievement screen or does it still show as incomplete?

 

Still shows as incomplete. As if I have no progress done at all.

 

Actually, let me correct that. I still shows up as no progress, but if it is something that I have to do X amount of times, it acts differently.

As I said, Resident Evil 5 made me go back and redo everything in order to get the achievements, however, after beating the game offline and then going back online, the first to unlock were the ones that were "Do BLANK X amount of times"

All I had to do was kill one enemy with a headshot and unlocked Pull off 20 headshots.

All I had to do was kill one enemy with a physical attack and I unlocked Defeat 20 enemies with physical attacks.

I only had to save my partner once more to unlock Save partner 10 times when HELP is displayed.

So from what I can gather... it tracks things, but doesn't show it and doesn't signal that I unlocked the required amount of actions while offline, until I do 1 more while online. If you need me to try and explain better, I'll try.

 

I will try my best to help you solve this I just need to ask you to do a few steps

Go to Settings>Console info & Updates>Reset Console>Reset and keep my games and apps

(WARNING)-(You will have to recalibrate settings such as Language>Time>Kinect>ECT)

This is a tip I cannot promise it will solve this issue but I hope it will

That definitely makes sense, are you possibly able to do that with other achievements? Like you said, it sounds like it's being tracked, but the achievements are being pushed until you play the game.

 

Nightstepshadow, I already did everything, including a full system wipe. Nothing changed.

Mister Maka, yes, it happens with all games. Such as- Kingdom: New Lands. I survived until day 15 while online, then went offline while at work and made it to day 42. When I got online, nothing unlocked. Hours went by as I played other games, even when
I booted Kingdom: New Lands, nothing unlocked. It wasn't until I surived 1 more day that I got the Survive day 20, 25,30,35, & 40 achievements. HOWEVER... they unlocked out of order.

They unlocked in the order of "Survive day 35" then "40", then 20, 25, and lastely 30.

When I play games like Fallout 4 or Wolfenstein, it seems once I pass a certain point of the game while offline, I can not get that achievement unless I start a new game while online and complete the mission while online. Because of this, most of my achievements
are unlocking out of order, or not at all ever since the Early August update.

This Thread? While you may not be able to report on all Achievements you've yet to unlock, it will notify our Achievement team of the trouble you're having.

 

Yes, I've done that a few times. Nothing's been fixed or changed.
