    XBOX ONE NO LONGER RECOGNIZING MOBILE HOTSPOT


    Good afternoon,

    I have been using my phone as a mobile hotspot for the last 2 years (due to restrictions, I am only able to use it as my source of network for my xbox.)

    No problems the last 2 years. Last night, I log in, turn my hotspot on (Samsung Galaxy S9) and find that I cannot play any games, get any party invites, etc, etc. When I viewed my network settings, my NAT is now strict. This has never happened before; my
    NAT has always been open when using my phone.

    Anyone have any guidance with this? I have tried resetting the network settings on my phone, soft restarting it, played around with the Network settings on my Xbox, and nothing seems to be working.

    I have been using wired connection for almost 2 years to play on Xbox live and I have never had a problem with it until now. A few days ago I used my 4g mobile hotspot to connect to Xbox live because one of my family members was using my modem. And when
    I disconnected the 4g mobile hotspot from my Xbox the Xbox some how glitched and only allows my 4g mobile hotspot to connect to Xbox live and doesn't let any other type of networks to connect to Xbox live not even my wired connection doesn't want to connect
    to Xbox live anymore. When I use a network different from the mobile hotspot it takes a very long time to sign in and after a long time of attempting to sign in it gives me an Xbox live connection error message. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

    My Xbox won't show my Dns and cuz of that It won't let me connect to my hotspot. If this isn't fixed I will not be able to play or download I can't even sign into my account.

    With hotspot is really hard to do any troubleshooting except what you have done. Being your phone is not an actual router where you can go in adjust different settings. Only thing you can try is forget the network completely (disconnect wireless) then reconnect
    to the hot spot and see if it changes. It is a known issue if you have at&t. You will have to get with carrier.

    Unfortunately, mobile hotspots are not designed to be fully compatible with the console and may not work at all times. Is there anything else running off of your hotspot?

    You can try resetting the hotspot or creating a new one on the phone but there is never a guarantee that a mobile hotspot will work with an Xbox One console.

    I also have tried using my mobile hotspot and it wont even connect using my mobile hotspot. I have 2 different XBOX 360s and neither one will connect that way. It will work if I hardwire it.
