Xbox One no longer recognizing external hard drives

Hi Everyone

I have two external hard drives. One is plugged in using an drive enclosure and an SSD drive plugged in using the Xbox USB/Drive enclosure by Creative Minds. Neither of these hard drives are being found when plugged into my Xbox One. I have hard reset the
console, unplugged the power for extended periods of time, Swapped the drives between enclosures and its still only finding the internal hard drive. They were working fine as of last week and are now no longer being found. I've verified that the drive enclosure
is working as the drive is found when plugged into my PC.

Any suggestions besides contacting Xbox Support (who most likely will have no idea).

Installs disappearing?

Is it possible that your Xbox One is no longer recognizing your external hard drive. If your games are installed on that drive, then that would be why they are now in the ready to install section.

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused,

Can you check to see if the External HardDrive has a light that flashes when on and solid when it's been used by the Xbox, this will make it easier to know if it's the External HardDrive or the Xbox, once it's formatted to Xbox One plugging it into a PC
might not let you open it without won't lreformat the External HardDrive to PC then lose your Xbox Data so I would suggest trying it in another Xbox One but it will make a sound and should have a pop up saying detected a new device process to format device,

If it doesn't work in another Xbox One then we can safely say the External HardDrive is defected and if it's still in warranty I would suggest contacting the manufacturer to see what can be done,

What brand are the drives themselves? If they are Seagate drives then that may be the issue as they are known to have issues with Xbox consoles.

However, I have had problems like you have stated before as well. I found that powering down and unplugging for 5 minutes has worked. But I also unplugged the drives from the console as well during that time. Give that a try and see if it helps.
