Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

So when i first setup my Xbox one on my Toshiba rear projection TV is worked like a charm, had 1080 res and great sound. My Xbox one than stopped working (did not turn on), so it was sent to Microsoft to be repaired, because after trying a friend's power
source and doing the other troubleshooting tips on the support site nothing worked. I did receive my Xbox one back from Microsoft so i plugged everything in and turned it on ( it did turn on so the repairs were successful, but all i got was a blank screen
with no sound. So i followed the support site and tried other cables and outlets with no success. Finally i tried a different TV and it worked. The problem i have though is i tried other devices using the same cables and outlets on the original TV and everything
worked so there is nothing wrong with the TV. Why is it that my Xbox one will no longer work with this capable TV that it did work on before? And i did try setting the display setting to all other different options and none of them worked. So does has anyone
else had this problem and Microsoft team do you have an explanation for why this is happening? Any info would be appreciated.

    :)

  2. Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

I'm with the same problem here! Fortunately i have 3 TVs at home but 2 of them are not recognizing the console (The one which works is the one that my mother use, so i can't use it always)! It's like it's hdmi isn't connected! I tried everything, changed
the cables, the hdmi ports, reseted the tv and nothing!

  4. Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

I'm having the same problem. My TV is not recognizing the xbox one thru hdmi but it recognizes the cable box and computer. I've tried different hdmi ports on different TVs, it's not working properly. Somehow the xbox one can still turn on and off the TV.

G'day! Vondy, when you plugged in your console and got a blank screen with no audio, was the console updated completely? If the console is stuck on a black screen then it's possible that it is trying to update. Once you were able to get
it to work on the second TV, have you since tried it again on your preferred TV?

DUNKaTRON, do you get a bank screen as well or is there a "no input" type of error message on your screen, as if nothing was plugged into the HDMI port? Have you tried a different HDMI cable as well?

After I had the console plugged into the second tv that worked I continually changed the display settings and than plugged the console into the first tv to see if those settings would work and none of them worked

Xbox one no longer recognizes my HDMI on my TV

I had issues like this before. Do these steps:

    >Unplug your console

    >Leave it set for 30 seconds

    >Put your Finger on the Power Button

    >Hold for ten seconds

    >Replug in and try turning it back on.

It should work, I had issues like that where it wouldn't even turn on. What this does is reset the hardware just like on your computer at home when it has a issue all drivers and hardware is reset. You don't lose any information on your HDD or game info.

Hi again Vondy. Thanks for the extra details. Other than the TV and the console, is there anything else in your entertainment setup when you try the different display settings? Is there an HDMI splitter plugged in, for example, or a 3rd party capture card?
If so, let's remove all of that and focus completely on the TV and the console.

Also, just to be absolutely sure, please check that the HDMI cable is plugged into the correct port on the back of the Xbox One console.

When was the last time your TV's power was cut? Modern TVs hold software that can - much like other devices - mess up sometimes and require a restart, especially if your TV spends much of its time in Standby and not fully powered down. Let's unplug the TV
and the console from the power outlets for a few solid minutes. Then plug them back in, connect the two via HDMI, and try to set up the console again. You may also want to check with your TV's manufacturer to see if there's an update to install.

Let us know how it goes. We'll find a way to get this working.

Thanks again for the suggestions Misses Joust, I have made sure that the HDMI cable was in the correct port and i even tried using the other port, There is no other 3rd party devices connected the cable foes straight from the console to the TV. I did have
the tv unplugged recently but I did Unplug it again to test out your suggestion. The TV was completely shut down and unplugged for a couple days while i was out of town. I did connect everything back up again and no luck. As for the TV needing an update my
tv is not that modern that it can connect to the internet and get an update.

So just a recap for others with suggestions:

There are no other devices between the console and TV it is a straight connection.

I have tried the other HDMI ports with no luck

I have tried shutting down and unplugging both the TV and the console

The console did work on this TV before it was sent in for repairs and now no longer does

The console works perfectly fine on another TV, but it is not my big screen hence my dilemma

Thanks to all those giving suggestions and to future suggestions

  12. Sorry you're going through this Vondy. Coincidentally, my XBOX ONE HDMI to TV setup worked perfectly fine up until about a week to two weeks ago when it simply stopped working. It may have something to do with the latest Update MS put out there. I even went
as far as being top notch HDMI cables and still nothing.

At this point I've given up and my XBOX ONE is now connected as a standard gaming console and that's it. I wish you luck. Hopefully you can fix this issue on your end.

Still no solution has been found for my problem. I haven't been able to update my console because I don't have a TV that works with my Xbox one because my cat broke it... Does anyone know if there has been an update to fix this issue?
