Xbox one no longer making sounds after update

    Xbox one no longer making sounds after update


    After updating my xbox one about 1 hour ago, I no longer get any sounds from it. No menu sounds, nor anything from youtube.

    I tried messing around with the sound settings and have done an hard reset without any luck.

    Trying another longer hard reset, but am not pleased with this problem.

    Help please.

    Xbox One issues after 07.02.16 update

    My Xbox one is no longer playing sound from Blue-Rays. It plays TV sound and will continue to play TV sound while Blue-Ray picture is running. This is since the latest update. I tried turning off the TV source then I have no sound. I restarted Xbox one twice
    but no help.

    Never mind, looks like the hdmi of my tv is busted.

    Hello! Go to settings, console and updates and select a factory reset. Be sure to choose keep everything then your console will restart and hopefully resolve the issue.

    Yeah I can force my receiver to upmix the signal, but sounds like trash. Echoes, chambers , sound halls..... simulated of course , but I could have sworn the xbox one up mixed the 2.1 stream to 5.1 within the xbox itself. Maybe an update happened and that no longer is a thing? Doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm losing my mind.
