Xbox One no longer accepts discs!

Hey guys!

For the past 2 months I haven't put anything in my disc drive as I've been buying more digital games for the preorders to make it easier on myself. Regardless, most of my games are still on disc so I went to go play one and the disc drive only accepted about
80% of the disc before it stopped and started making some grinding noises. This has never happened before.

I tried this 2-3 times with the same result. I turned the console off/on again, unplugged everything, tried again to no avail.

I don't trust myself to take anything apart to see if something looks off but I'd like to know if this is a common issue and if there is/are a solution(s) I could try?

Xbox 1 game drive not responsive

Non responsive disc drive.

Will no longer accept discs after the first one.

Installed Forza 5, took about an hour to install ... doesn't seem reasonable with this tech.

Now will not accept any discs.

Xbox One no longer reading discs

Last year for Christmas my friends all chipped in and bought me an Xbox One Assassin's Creed bundle. With Fallout 4 coming out I've been PC gaming a bunch the last few weeks and have only been using my Xbox for Netflix and Hulu. Well...today I decided I
should pop Rock Band 4 back in and get the new update. I can hear the drive trying to read, not the clunky grinding I've seen in videos, but a normal drive noise. I've seen a few tips/tricks on the internet like tilting your console or holding the disc a little
longer, but these don't work.

Was this maybe the new update to the new version of the dashboard that caused this? I haven't really used it since around then but it was reading discs fine just the night before Fallout 4 came out when I was playing Destiny. I've tried several Xbox One
games, Blu Rays (which actually completely freeze my system) and DVDs, none of them read.

Any help would be greatly appricated

It looks like your consoles disc drive is broken but thing is to contact Xbox support directly to get this repaired or you can do this on the self service centre .-

support.xbox.com/.../getting-your-product-serviced

Best thing to do is ldt the professionals at Microsoft handle this as if you damage something it may void the warranty.

Is this just one disc or any disc that you try. And what model is your xbox one, as the first xbox one is no longer eligible for repairs.

I'm sure you can, but at the end of the day this is a Microsoft problem. I'm hoping they can overnight me a new system. This is bull.

Can we get a store credit refund at least from our places of purchase? I don't want to be stuck staring at a broken Xbox One. I'm going to fight GameStop in 4 1/2 hours for store credit until they get another shipment.
