Xbox One No Display Using HDMI Cable?

I just opened a brand new, albeit an older Xbox One for the first time and tried to set it up. When starting it up, it will not display on my TV. I used the HDMI cable that came with the unit. I've also switched that out with my own HDMI cable to check that issue. I've tried each HDMI port on my TV. I've also tried setting up on a 2nd TV and had the same issue. Anyone know what the issue could be and how I could possibly fix it?

Are you sure you have the hdmi cable plugged in the correct hdmi socket on the Xbox One? It needs to be in the hdmi out socket.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it is plugged into the To TV port.

unfortunately it is impossible to use a xbox one without an hdmi cable, its the only way the xbox one will be able to be displayed. if the hdmi port itself is broken in any way your console will need to be either repaired or replaced since the hdmi cable
is unable to be read by the port. hope this helps.

It's easier to rule out what it's NOT for a number of these cases. So I would recommend trying to swap that HDMI cable to another device and see if it does the same thing? Try a different HDMI cable with the Xbox. Might also want to try hooking something
else to the display with that HDMI cable as well as a different one to see if it behaves differently. That can help us identify if it's the HDMI port on the TV, the HDMI port on the Xbox, the HDMI cable itself, the display, or narrow it down to the console.
It's possible that it's the power converter. I've had to use a few when I was deployed to Iraq, and they can vary WILDLY in build quality and performance. You should also be able to check the light on the power supply when the display goes out to see if
that changes and possibly help identify if that's the issue.

Hi, on the Xbox One X as with all of the Xbox One range, there are two HDMI connections. One is an HDMI-Out and one is an HDMI-In. You will see next the HDMI connector a label describing what HDMI it is. You connect the included 4K HDMI cable to the HDMI-Out
to display the console on your TV. The HDMI-In is optional. It can be used to connect a Cable or Satellite receiver to your console.
