    Xbox One no colour on TV, only greyscale display


    Hi,

    Starting from yesterday my Xbox One no longer shows colour on TV, only greyscale display. Please determine for me if this is a malfunction.

    1. Before yesterday everything worked fine.

    2. I have not changed anything whatsoever before having this problem.

    3. I have restarted the console/TV several times and no luck.

    4. TV and console are connected by HDMI cable, I have tried another cable but that does not fix the problem.

    5. I have tried changing the display options in the console and that does not fix the problem.

    That also explains, why the Colour hue is in the greyscale too, Zacabeb...

    This is what it says about the pixel count.

    Adjust display settings.

    Colour depth

    Colour depth is the number of bits of colour data that are used to display each pixel. True colours use 24 bits of colour data to represent the three RGB colours. If you know that your TV supports Deep Colour, you can select a higher colour depth.

    Sorry to hear about display trouble. Odd that it's displaying in greyscale, have you by chance had a chance to try resetting your display settings completely? We have an

    Xbox One Display Troubleshooter     with some steps to run through, please give that a go and let us know how it goes Xbox One no colour on TV, only greyscale display :)

    Have a look in console settings and check that auto detect is on in the display settings, set colour space to RGB and reference level to standard, it could be the xbox is trying to display a resolution or colour space that is not supported by the tv
