XBox One Newbie Questions!! Please help!

Short of it...

Son had XBox 360 for years. XBox Live, tons of games, achievements, friends, etc. Bought him an XBox One this past Friday, plugged it in, typed in my Microsoft account info copied straight from XBox 360 account... and it came up with some completey different
Gamer Tag, No Friends List, No Achievements, nothing.

Came to my XBox account through my laptop and it now has only his XBox One gamertag and info HERE!!

What the heck is going on? We can still logon the XBox 360 and play Live, see friends a, etc on that system, but can't see anything on the XBox One.

Any help on transferring Friends List or getting his 360 Gamer tag on the One??

Stupid Newbie Question

I'm a newbie with a stupid question. On the Xbox One S how do you exit games back to dashboard without turning off console. There has to be a button combination to push on the controller. Please Help

Does your son use his own Gamertag and account? The only way another Gamertag can be showing is if you are not using the correct login information. It appears you have created a new account rather than the one your son uses. Is the account under your email
or his?

 

When I set up his XBox 360 account, I set everything up for him. I used an email of mine and a password I could remember. As far as I know, it was what I used when we logged in to the XBox One.

I have no idea WHAT is going on.
