Xbox One New Controller Problem

Recently I decided to go out Black Friday and buy a new a Xbox one new controller because the pre owned one I got with my Xbox one decide do to get analog drift o on the left thumb stick. I decided to go buy a new controller and expectedly it works perfectly
out of the box. I noticed that i am not able to receive game audio through this new controller even though party chat works and people can hear me and I can hear them. My problem is also that the controller that is the controller shows up as being white when
the one I purchased is black. I feel as if it could be the firmware in that might be even controller because my old firmware in the old controller works is fine.

Plug n Play chargers

Hi all,

Does anyone have a problem with plug n play chargers with the new Xbox one X contoller? They work in my old xbox one controller, but not in the New Xbox one X controller. It's the Orb charger. Any ideas,

Xbox One controller disconnects when headset/and adapter plug in

I have the same problem with my Xbox one day one edition controller. bought a new one yesterday, same thing happen with the new controller too. have to take the battery out then put them back in to get controller reconnected.

FIrst things first... make sure the controller does not need an update. If so, make sure to connect the headset you're trying to use to the controller BEFORE you update it. If it does not need an update make sure the connection with the people you're trying
to chat with is good. I sometimes have issues where I can only talk to specific friends "in-game" when I'm in a party. Check for the update and verify it does not need that, first. You can also check out the link below for further troubleshooting steps.

Sounds like it's the controller causing the issue not the xbox. Buy a new controller or before buying a new one, try a different controller and see if the problem is still happening

Having problems as well, strange problems. One problem is the a lot of the writing is covered in accents, numbers etc... Big problem is that xbox one is unplayable due to controller glitch that does not seem to come from the controller. thought controller
was broken so I bought a new one to discover same problems. some buttons, triggers don't work. other functions go automatically as if buttons are stuck, but has same problem with new controller. makes no sense unless it is an internal software glitch. updated
controller to no avail. wtf!

Finally got a mic to work after four months, I fixed my problem by buying a new controller and headphone set .

It looks like the stock controller for the Xbox one had problems updating because as soon as I connected my new controller I had to update and it worked and i was able to hear and speak to people .

I tried all the steps below before buying the new controller and headset and they did not work, i believe it was because there was no update for my old stock controller or there was a problem updating it .

This is what I did :

1. Turned off the Xbox one by unplugging it from the wall .

2. Removed all parts of the charge and play kit out of the stock controller and put them into the new controller .

3. Connected the Xbox one back into the wall and switched it on .

4. Then updated the new controller .

5. Connected the new headset to the new controller and started up Call of Duty Black ops 3 .

The new controller I bought had the new 3.5mm connection, where as the old controller was stock and did not,

I think this might also be part of the problem .

The headset I bought were Kama Tritons with the 3.5mm connector and the old headset was the Xbox one stock headset .
