Xbox One network speed issues after console reset.

Hi all.

As the title suggests I have connection speed issues after the console was reset; I recently removed myself from the Preview Program and as a result the console was reset. Since then I have not been able to install games without having to do it offline and
then when connected I am unable to download updates, they stick at 0% for hours. When looking at the bandwidth usage on the Xbox I don't see speeds higher than 500 kbits/s other than the very occasional spike at 17mb but that lasts just a couple of seconds.

I have been on two lengthy chats with support and as a result have done all of the following, a lot of which was done prior to calling it in. None of these have affected the connection speed.

Router and console both reset.

Cable changed, physical port on router changed. Connected on wi-fi and cable.

Consoles IP put in to DMZ

Port forwarding for ports 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544 and 4500 done.

I am using an ASUS DSL-AC68U vdsl modem router on BT Infinity 2 - 65mb up and 19mb down.

Any help at all will be appreciated; currently unable to update or play a game, I can connect to Live though.

No. It's Open.

...anyway, the update is, despite no changes to my router being made for several months and having no other issues with connections it was the router that was the issue. I did a factory reset on it and for 5 minutes the speed came back at the xbox end, then
promptly dropped off. Repeated and same. Got my old BT fibre modem and D-Link router back on the case and all was well. There was just nothing pointing to the router and everything pointing to the xbox as it had worked perfectly up until the reset.

I suspect the Trend Micro router protection may be at fault, it's built in and can be turned off so at some point, when I can get off the xbox, I'll do some tests with various settings.

 

Hello, This can be a tricky network issue, IDK why but this trick always seems to help me when I get this issue, Settings>Network settings>Advanced>Alternate MAC>Clear then it will want to restart.
