    Xbox one network latency

I'm having a similar issue, i recently moved to a new ISP and ever since i have had issues with high latency and a strict nat type. I get around 200ms latency using both wireless and wired and the nat type will occasionally change to open but still won't
be able to play on gtav online or any other games except Titanfall because that is connecting to a European server. My ISP has said that they have done all that they can and it must be a problem coming from something else.

My PC's connection is absolutely fine, its just a problem with my Xbox. I don't think it will be a problem with ports because i'm using the same router as i had before changing ISP so the settings won't have changed. Before changing ISP i had no issues,
i had low latency and an open nat type. So what went wrong?

    :)

  2. Xbox one network latency

I did a network test the other day on my xbox one and it said I had a strict NAT, download of 11.2, upload of .5, 0 packet loss, 71% wireless strength and my latency was incredibly high at 209 ms. so I put my Xbox into a DMZ and I got an open NAT but my
ping is still incredibly high and I can't win a gunfight on COD because they are seeing me at least 200ms before I see them. So if anyone knows anyways I can reduce that please let me know thanks.

I did give it a static IP and I didn't restart the router straight after I put the Xbox into a DMZ but I have restarted it and it still shows the same values. Unfortunately I can't connect via Ethernet because the router is in a different room. I also forgot
to add in the beginning 2 other PlayStations are also using the same network but I still have the same problem even if they are both off, thanks.

    Hi DeMiizE OG,

You said that you added your Xbox One to the DMZ, did you do this with a static IP address? After adding the console to the DMZ, did you restart your router, or have you restarted the router at all?

If you can try connecting your Xbox One to your network with an Ethernet cable, see if you still have the same issue then?

    Very Poor Network Latency

    Hello

The latency shown on the network tab is not an accurate reading to in game latency. The number shown is the ping the Xbox One gets trying to ping the Xbox servers in Redmond Washington, for gaming however your Xbox pings the closest server available so you
can just neglect the ping on the network tab.

Network latency for LIVE on xbox one

    A question for Mister Ohnaka.

Is the latency accurate for normal xbox servers.

Apparently when testing connection it pings servers in Seattle, Washington no matter where you are in the world.

So if you are on the other side of the atlantic ocean like in the UK you get high pings of over 150ms.

Does this mean the UK always gets a sub-standard connection or are we actually connected to servers in the UK?

Network latency for LIVE on xbox one

    Hi Cheerio,

76ms latency is not bad at all. That is less than one tenth of a second of latency. Also, a download speed of 47 mbps is great. The recommended download speed for Xbox Live is 3mbps.
