I've posted before about my experience about the xbox one Netflix App and Xbox video app crashing when I was wirelessly streaming movies using my router. Using the workaround via hardwire instead of using wifi to fix the issue temporarily. I recently decided
to look into my router to figure out if it was the issue. After a looking at the default settings on my router via the router address. Mine was
http://192.168.0.1 for my router, there is an option called WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) functionality option. It allows the router to prioritize incoming transmissions to prevent any lag or latency depending on the
demand. I unchecked this option and there has been no problems since with the wireless xbox one experience via Netflix or Xbox video apps. Hope this helps!!

Microsoft reveals Xbox One Entertainment App line-up

The new Netflix won't be coming to Xbox One either Netflix updates Xbox 360, PS3, Roku and Smart TV apps with unified interface

I assume this means that because Netflix is deeply integrated with Xbox One its difficult to update to the new platform. From the UI video it looks like Netflix can be added to the TV guide for voice control etc and so may be a bespoke build.

If you have a really nice router there will be an option for WMM. Be sure that it is DISABLED.

WMM (Wifi Multimedia) also known as WME ( Wireless Multimedia Extension). It includes a Power Save Certification, which allows for devices to save power but in the case of the XBOX ONE will cause it to shut down. You can switch to a WIRED network cable connection
if you can't find the setting to turn it off. WMM/WME are a QoS, such as Voice over IP (VoIP) on Wi-Fi phones (VoWLAN).

It's designed to help devices conserve battery life managing the time the device spends in sleep mode. Great for VOIP devices, video phones, and multimedia devices bad for XBOX ONE. Microsoft needs to fix this asap. Until then turn it off. @geminiimatt

Netflix 4K FIX

Xbox set to output uhd 4K !!!

Here is what to do HDMI kable in HDCP 2.2 port HDMI (MHL)!!!

If xbox is not in that port no netflix in 4K . HDCP is 'High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection' this port is used for copyright protected video.

All I know is this needs a fix ASAP. Video is almost unwatchable and this is supposed to be an all in one device? I won't rent a movie on Xbox video for fear of this judder and frame drops. Why does the ps4 get super hd on Netflix and we don't? And they
aren't having this issue. Argh.

Hey VapidWriter5219, i have tried that and it did not work for me. On my mobile hotspot the Netflix app worked great but when i signed in to my home wifi, it immediately crashed after 4 minutes if streaming. I feel like Xbox needs to put out an update that
will fix this issue because it is really annoying having to put up with this, also its not just my Netflix app, but other apps like Youtube, xbox video, and hulu crash as well. Like i said before, it cant be my internet because all these apps work just fine
on my other devices, so everything points to my xbox being the main culprit. Another thing i should add is that when these apps crash, it causes my router to crash as well, by losing broadband and internet connection. If someone could please help i would appreciate
it.
