  1. Xbox one needs to allow offline profiles creation

    hey everyone

Iv been xbox player since day 1 of the original xbox but as my little boys wanna start gaming I think xbox needs to put out an update to allow achievements to appear and be earned offline and allow offline profile creation as we all know there are players
who target kids in minecraft and games like that

    What do u think

    :)

Why do I need to have an online profile when I'm offline?

First you need an online profile to be able to play multiplayer.

Also some games, the newer ones, only allow online play.

But most will allow you to create an offline profile.

    Xbox live gamerscore won't tranfer

    Hi Beyonson21,

You will need to follow the next steps:

    - Sign in with your offline profile (where have your achievements/gamerscores are)

    - Press Guide button

    - Select Join Xbox Live (It will said that your will exit from your profile session but its ok when complete creation will be linked all your gamerscore in the Online Gamertag).

    * You will need other MS Account (Before called Windows Live ID)

I think allowing other users in your home to create off/online profiles of their own for use on a single console is a good thing. Mainly it would allow them to have their own game saves etc as opposed to using yours.

Why not just create accounts for your kids and then use the parental control features to block communication and such?

I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing before that the online requirement was to stop people from cheating the system and unlocking achievements they didn't actually earn.

    Yep,exactly it.

Achievements are now linked to the cloud to prevent Gamerscore modding which is why you can only unlock a limited amount offline but they wont actually register as unlocked until you connect to live.

Well, actually I think that the kids having an online account makes them more secure in the Xbox system. With an online account, you can add them to the Family system, and set the kids online and privacy features.

With an offline profile, your kid could visit a friend and just play there unrestricted, as the friend's console wouldn't know of the privacy settings you set on your console at home.

If your kid visits a friend, and signs in with his profile (in order to get his gaming progress and access to game), the friend's console knows what your kid is allowed or prevented to do. So even in a friends console your kid can be prevented from being
contacted by strangers, be it in Minecraft or other games.

But if you think offline profile creation is a valuable thing to have, check This Link for a feedback suggestion
    that was made on http://feedback.xbox.com

Here you can vote for the suggestion to have offline profiles.

If enough people vote for that suggestion, it might be implemented in the future.

But personally, I'd say the online profile is able to protect your kid better, if you set it up properly.

Link child offline xbox 360 profile to a child xbox live profile

Since the console no longer allows child account creation anywhere but the website, I'm afraid I don't know a way to convert an offline profile into a child account. It works perfectly well setting it up as an adult account. I'd love to see a workaround
for this if anyone has figured one out.
