Xbox one needs better avatars and gamer picks

Xbox avatars need to be more dominant on the Dashboard like they are on Xbox 360 right now, instead of hiding in some Windows 8 program Avatar App in a shoe box. Its good that your Xbox avatar was at least a Day 1 Xbox Live Feature on Xbox 1.

Hey thanks for the replying, yea think personally it would be great to have avatars like in the games bf4 cod etc like at your loadout screen great detail and looks more realistic after all sometimes its the small things that count its only my opinion everyone

i did hear that before the xbox one came out kinect would scan you and out you as a avatar

I'm pretty much positive they will bring back the Avatar Store eventually, most likely along with themes and gamerpics to purchase.

Its just a matter of when.

I'm guessing maybe sometime later this summer could be likely, who knows.

I know in Kinect Sports Rivals it scans you (wow). The end result was a dorky muscular sporty [....] of me, the face was a little off so was the hair but not too far off though. I guess there is the issue of Privacy in getting the Kinect to scan and replicate
an avatar image closer to what you look like. But then again you have Skype, video chat and other social media where you can share yourself. I agree the avatar store needs to return. Girls, youths and older peps may like to shop, it's kind of fun decorating
your Xbox avatar instead of wearing the boring default avatar clothing with no spectacular props and stuff, and in turn, it generates money for Microsoft. I would also like them to not hide our Xbox avatars on the Xbox 1 Dashboard. Avatars aren't hiding in
some Windows 8 shoe box UI on Xbox 360's Dashboard, they're active in parties and in the social tab and there are a few games which use your avatar. Xbox 1 does have something similar to Xbox 360's Social tab on 360's Dashboard, it's called the Friends tab.
But your avatars can only be found in the avatar app part of the Dashboard.

Bring back Avatars to the Dashboard, with an option to display it .... some people like it and some don't . I miss my Avatar and MS convert the old gamer pics to HD, I hate looking at my tiny postage size picture that I have been using since the original
Xbox on that big beautiful Xbox One space.

I never understood why they didn't let Achievement Icons be used as Gamerpics last gen. Devs were designing upwards of fifty icons per game, perfectly sized as gamerpics, and perfect incentive for gamers to unlock more achievements for more unique profile
options among millions of gamers.

But then... I never understood why the last 360 dashboard design had to have a stupid gray thing at the bottom of the screen blocking the background image. Who's call was that?

But yeeeaaaaaa... what was I saying? Yes! They should attach icons/gamerpics to achievements, and let gamers pick the ones they like. I know they're doing wallpaper on the One... but c'mon. How often do you change that? I've had

Back in the early days of the Xbox 360, they would release a few gamerpics along with each game - I wish they'd bring that back. I loved getting new gamerpics with each game.
