xbox one nat problem

Hello I have a xbox one and it has nat type moderate and it is laggey in multiplayer games. We also have a ps4 in the living room. how do I get open nat on xbox one with out causing problems for the ps4?

Check your NAT on your Xbox One. Do a search on open nat for xbox one.

To all the guys having problems with NAT settings, this is the guide i used really easy to follow and will change your NAT to open.

Only thing about port forwarding is that you can't really do that with multiple consoles. For example when I tried port forwarding my Xbox One, it made my 360 restricted.

Just to clarify I havent tried using the ps4 on at the same time as the xbox one console, but the xbox one console laggs anyway online and it has a nat type of moderate, I thought moderate would be fine.

If I open ports for the xbox one I want to know what ports to open so the ps4 doesnt suffer any connectivity too.

No the home hub 5 but I have tried the home hub 3 type B and was able to get an open Nat on both Xbox 1 and 360 at the same time. I would still be using the type B now if mine hadn't broke down as the hh5 has problems with Xbox one as well

When I said restart I mean reboot. The type B does not need to be factory reset to fix UPnP.

Just a powercycle or pressing the restart button is all that is needed.

You should not use the DMZ or port forwarding if you own 2 xboxes.

You need to rely exclusively on UPnP.

When I owned a bthome hub 3 type A I found that it had a upnp bug.

if you didnt go into the hub settings and tell it to allways use this ip address setting for all your devices the upnp table would fill up causing nat problems.

The only way I could find that would clear the mappings was to do a factory reset of the hub press pressing the red button in the tiny pinhole at the back. just restarting the hub didnt work.

So first makes sure your xboxes are switched off then factory reset the home hub.

once the hub has fully connected switch on the xbox one. then using your pc go I to the hub settings and tell it to always use the same ip address for the xbox one.

Next switch on the 360 and do the same again to tell the hub to always use the same ip address.

Also dont have static ip addresses set in the consoles own network settings as that can stop upnp from working. the ip settings in the consoles network settings should be set to automatic.

I no longer own the type A hub but it was able to have 2 xbox 360s connected to it this way so it hopefully should manage both a 360 and xbox 1 at the same time.
