    Xbox One NAT moderate Xbox 360 Open?


    I've been having issues with the NAT on my xbox one but when I get on my xbox 360 the NAT type is open? I tried about everything to get my NAT type open on xbox. Any help?

    Unable to connect to party chat at all on Xbox One. NAT type always strict and "Can't get a Teredo IP address" error testing multiplayer connection.

    I had a 360 before the Xbox One and it was Nat type Moderate.

    strict nat

    ok after having my xbox 360 in dmz i put the one in dmz still strict nat took it back out got an open nat shut xbox down and restarted now i have a moderate nat says its behind a upnp port restricted nat have turned upnp off rebooted router turned upnp on
    rebooted router rebooted xbox one still moderate WTH

    Xbox One NAT moderate Xbox 360 Open?

    I get NAT strict to moderate on my XBone when I look under the network settings. I've noticed when playing COD:AW it shows my NAT as open. Not sure how it's different. Regardless I don't see any issues when playing online.

    Are you having any portforwardings configured in your router as you say you also have a 360? If so please delete them as having portforwardings configured for the 360 prevents the One from getting an open NAT.

    please be also aware that the Xbox One needs some more ports than the 360 does.

    Usually not being able to play with certain people is a NAT type error. I have had issues with the xbox one staying on and open NAT. It goes back and forth from open to moderate. Have no idea why. My 360 always stayed on open.

    I'm having similar issues. My Xbox One has open NAT and no lag but my 360 is moderate. It doesn't make sense. I think the network adapter firmware on the 360 is buggy.

    @Bobmcfly247 A fully compatible router should allow an open NAT on both Xboxes not moderate. If you have a moderate Nat then you have a router with crap UPnP support.

    On a good router your Xbox will open a different UPnP port rather than the standard one if it's already mapped to another device. This keeps the NAT open on both. On a bad router this will fail and you get a moderate or strict Nat.

    Yes I have.

    While i'm having no problems getting the NAT in call of duty open because port forwarding 3075 fixes that for me.

    It's the dashboard NAT that is causing me problems. It's impossible to get it to stay open.

    Basically UPnP on the xbox one is not compatible with the UPnP on the home hubs at all.

    The reason COD is giving you a moderate NAT is because the game is trying to open port 3075 using demonware port mapping but because the UPnP support on xbox one is dodgy it's just not happening. The port doesn't open giving a moderate or strict NAT.

    Also with the xbox one dashboard again I can open that NAT by port forwarding port 3074 but when I switch my 360 on the UPnP on that overwrites the port forwarding for xbox one and causes the NAT to go moderate in the dashboard.

    It's frigging annoying me like hell now.

    The thing is I don't want to risk buying a new router unless I am 100% certain that a new router will give me a permanently open NAT in both cod ghosts, the xb1 dashboard and the xbox 360.

    Judging by all the other threads though I think buying a new router would be a waste of money as i'm convinced the UPnP on xbox one is just broken.
