Xbox One NAT Issues

I am having issues getting an open NAT on my Xbox One. My system will say that my NAT is moderate. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will say strict. GTA V will not work online. I am aware that Call of Duty requires extra ports to be opened for it to display
as open. I'll do my best to explain my equipment and what I've tried to do already.

What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Florida

    Modem brand & model number:

Xfinity Technicolor TC8305C. The modem does support wireless, but it is turned off.

    Router brand & model number:

Linksys WRT1900AC. Uses Linksys Smart-Wifi to login to router settings.

How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?:

One Xbox One. (I also have a PC and PS3 connected with an Ethernet cable, and a dozen other devices connected wirelessly.)

Wired or wireless (for each console):

Xbox one is wired with a CAT6A Ethernet cable.

    Things you have tried:

    • I have tried opening ports listed for xbox live and call of duty. Either it does nothing or I lose internet connectivity to all my devices. Linksys Smart Wifi has three options for ports..."Single Port Forwarding"
"Port Range Forwarding" "Port Range Triggering"
    • I have tried to reserve the DHCP address of my Xbox One.
    • I have placed my Xbox One into DMZ and that did nothing.
    • I have toggled options for UPnP on and off, NAT on and off, Filter NAT redirection on and off, filter multicast on and off, dynamic routing on and off.
    • I did bypass the router completely and went straight from the modem to the Xbox One and my console was listed as open, GTA V online worked(for the first time), and Call of Duty was listed as open. I don't believe
there is a physical hardware issue with the router, but that the issue exists within the settings of the Linksys Smart Wifi.

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown

UPnP is currently enabled. Though it makes no difference in my NAT whether it is on or off.

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?

NAT is listed as moderate. Sometimes it says I'm behind a cone network. Other times it says that I am beind a network with a firewall or I am behind a port restricted router, but those errors have only shown a few
    times.

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

    No Error codes.

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider):

    Crapcast (Comcast)

My download speed is about 120mbps. Upload is 25mbps. MTU is listed as 1480. I have 0% packet loss. I have tried the LB+RB+RT+LT when testing the multiplayer connection, and while it does change my NAT from moderate to open some of the times, it really
isn't open. I still experience the same issues and once the system is restarted it will go back to moderate. I'm obviously not doing something right in the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi settings but I've tried pretty much all the different tutorials I could find online.
Portforward.com does not have my router listed.

    Thanks for the help.

    :)

Your network is behind port restricted NAT

They have slower internet and you are wondering why your connection is slower?

Depends on the router on how to disable NAT or make NAT less intense. We will need your service provider (at the place that has restrictive NAT) and the router they have.

Those will help us reconfigure a router / modem with different nat settings.
The Technicolor TC8305C, part from being a modem, is also a NAT device, or router built in to this device. If your gateway is not operating in bridge mode, it'll break the fundamental rule for NAT traversal, which is multiple layers of NAT.

If your Technicolor is not operating in bridge mode, you'll have to phone Comcast, and let them know that you use an additinal router, and that they need to assist you, to have your gateway configured into bridge mode.

Post back and let us know how that goes.

    Thanks taidara,

I managed to log into the modem settings through my browser and I enabled the bridge. Modem reset and everything is working fine now.

    Thanks for the help!

I've started to have issue with high packet loss and the inability to view friends on the xbox. I've done a ping test through command prompt and am showing 0% packet loss.

Are you saying that after you configured your gateway into bridge mode, you started to notice high packet loss, and unable to view your friends on your Xbox One?
I managed to log into the modem settings through my browser and I enabled the bridge. Modem reset and everything is working fine now.
Just to clarify, what do you mean by "Modem reset"? Was this done by unpower your gateway
for a couple of minutes (or seconds), or did you use the physical resest button, located on the back of your gateway?

    Thanks!

    Xbox One NAT Issues

The packet loss happened later in the night but it looks like there were some issues with xbox live last night. All is well now.

The modem turned off and back on after I enabled the bridge mode. Similar to if I unplugged it and plugged it back in.

    Thanks again for the help.

Yes hi I was wondering if there is something different you can do to resolve this issue I have the same exact problem with the same exact games I do not have any other equipment hooked up to my modem. I can't get into my modem from my web browser I do not
have a PC is there a way to bypass it is to change my in nat type to open.

    Hey there THEBIGFC67,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Since this thread is pretty old, I would suggest creating a new thread detailing what you're experiencing and any troubleshooting steps you may have tried. This way you can receive support catered to you from our community.
    Thanks in advance!

    Xbox One Nat Issues

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the only way to get multiple consoles online at the same time (with open NAT) is to use a router that has a better implementation of PAT then your current one does. As stated earlier in the thread both the One and
the 360 both use port 3074. PAT allows devices on your network to "share" the port. It is a lot of work at first but you would need to swap your gateway for a modem from Comcast(they can do it at a service center) and then to purchase a router that can support
multiple consoles. You will want to search the forums and check the Networking Hardware Information forum for devices listed as able to do it.

Port forwarding one and putting the other in the DMZ won't solve the problem, which is that both the 360 and One use the same port (3074). You can only forward a specific port (3074 in this case) to one internal IP. DMZ is just another way of forwarding
ports--essentially it just forwards to the specified IP ALL ports not otherwise already forwarded via manual setting, UPnP, etc. (DMZ should be used only as a last resort for that reason). Thus, when you manually forward a port to one IP, that port will
not (cannot) be DMZ forwarded to another IP. If you can't get UPnP to work, then you could try something I wouldn't normally recommend, which is to manually setup the required port forwards to a specific LAN IP then manually assign that same LAN IP to both
your 360 and One. This is not normally a good idea; but as long as you avoid having the 360 and One powered on at the same time, it should work.
