  1. Xbox One Multiple Issues for 4 Years

This is going to be a really, really long post...

I purchased an Xbox One Day One Edition Kinect bundle back on launch day. For a while everything worked fine. Then one day I started experiencing issues where when I booted the console it would not connect to my wireless network (I cannot hard wire before
you ask). I would also have issues where it would make me constantly put in my password to connect to my Live account, even though it was saved and supposed to automatically sign in. These issues would be fixed every time if I unplugged the console completely
from the power outlet and plug it back in. I tried plugging it into different outlets. I tried multiple surge protectors. I tried multiple configurations of every type to try and fix the problem since it appeared to be an issue with power. However, none of
this made a difference. My console was past the warranty at this point so I just continued to unplug it from the power every time I wanted to use the console in order to make it work properly. After they announced the X I figured I would just buy it and the
problem would be fixed with a new console.

Well, I purchased an Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition on day one and at first everything was great. The system was working great and I had none of the same issues for a while. Fast forward a few months and the same issues I had with the original One starting
creeping in to the new X. At first it was just minor hiccups here and there. Over time they have gotten worse and worse. I started experiencing issues where both the wireless network and wireless controllers would not connect at all. Again, I had to completely
unplug the power and plug it back in and it would work fine. I did this for a while and then got fed up and called support and got an advanced exchange for a new unit. Once again, everything was fine for a couple of weeks. It was working and everything was
fine. After a couple of weeks I started experiencing the SAME EXACT ISSUES. This is console #3 and I am having the same problems once again. Only this time I have a new problem that one of my external drives will not work unless I unplug it from the Xbox One
X and plug it back in. I am also still having the same issues with the wireless networks and wireless controllers.

I have tried different power outlets, I have tried different surge protectors, power strips, extension cords, and now I have the Xbox One X plugged into a brand new battery backup all by itself. I am STILL having the same problems. Let me also say that I have
multiple other consoles and none of them experience any issues at all. I have never had a single problem out of any of my devices except the Xbox One. I have eliminated every possibility that there is a power issue on my side causing the problem. However,
every time I unplug the Xbox One from the power and plug it back in it works fine. I have upgraded my TV a couple of times, every Xbox One has been connected with different power and HDMI cables, and nothing is exactly the same in my setup from 4 years ago.
Yet, I am still experiencing the same exact issues. I have looked online hundreds of times and can't seem to find a single person that has a similar problem. I don't see how it is possible that I am the unluckiest Xbox One owner on the planet and have received
3 consoles with the same exact super duper rare problem. I also have eliminated everything on my side of the equation that could be causing the problem.

I have spent the greater part of 4 years since first getting an Xbox One trying to figure out what is causing this problem and I have been unable to figure it out. I have spoken to Xbox support many dozens of times and none of their people have been able
to help me solve this problem. I am a computer and network technician myself with 20 years of experience and I am at my wit's end with this situation. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Were you able to fix the problem? Does anyone have any suggestions
at all as to what I can do?? I am sick and tired of having to unplug the power every single time I want to use the console, especially since I use it almost every day...

    :)

If you like Judgment you are not a true Gears fan.

Why would you want to play the same exact game 4 times? and for multiple years? Good changes......IMO of course. Do you watch one movie, and only that same movie, for 2 years......??? Oh and also, Lancer > EVERYTHING

    Hey Alazam,

I feel your pain. I, too, have had similar issues ( like problems connecting to wireless network ) across multiple Xbox consoles over several years.

I have yet to try the X, but frankly, given my prior bad luck with the console, I am reluctant to try the X. especially when I read experiences such as yours who describe similar issues.

and yes, like you, all other devices in my home have no such issue, even though they are all connected to the same router.

so jus know you are not alone in your experience.

  5. No, your issue is nothing like mine, you describe the normal issue of not connecting to wireless networks that many people have had. My issue is far past that one and completely different than that.

while not the same issue, it all seems related to Xbox One having wireless connectivity issues of some sort, for whatever reason. Yours just seems like an extreme case.

and the issues persist across multiple, different Xbox One consoles ( and models ). across multiple years. and despite other devices in the household not experiencing any problem.

I'm sorry I can't help you with any solutions, just that I share in your frustrations with the Xbox One, having experienced wireless issues of my own.

    Xbox grinding disc.

Im done with Microsoft products. I've been with the Microsoft family for around 4 year's, I have had multiple xbox 360s and this xbox one and they have one thing in common... they always fail withen two year's. Im not risking to fix my xbox one and have
it, yet again fail and have to pay another 115 to get it fixed again. I think this is the final nail in the coffin.

    Xbox One - Multiple issues.

Change the batteries in your DOE controller... while you have the batteries out, slightly pull the contact tabs in the controller out a bit, so that the batteries fit more snug.... The rumbling can possibly fudge the connection with the batteries....

There's a good grip of threads on the controllers acting up... The above is how I fixed my DOE controller.

I haven't tried a BD movie yet... I gave all of mine to my parents when they built a home theater in their house.

I haven't witnessed the pinned stuff not loading up... Are those pinned apps dependent on internet? Or are they solely local apps(like settings app)
