    Xbox one Movies and TV app


    Hello all,

    So i have had an issue with the movies and tv app on both my xbox one and my X so i know its not limited to one device, but perhaps the app itself. Here's my issue, i have my movies folder on my windows 10 pc (current on all updates, firmware, drivers etc..
    so not the issue) set up for media streaming. Everything works good and i can access everything on any device i connect to it with. My movies are set up in alphabetical order, and the sequel movies have their own folders as to reduce clutter in the folder.

    Xbox media player sees all the movies and plays them just fine in the "all movies" selection, and in the "folders section once i navigate to them.

    Xbox movies and Tv app sees them all and plays them all as well in "all movies" selection, but once i go to the "folders" section and navigate to the movie folder, all of the sequels folders i have only show one on average as working.. selecting others throws
    a 0x80004003 error code and the app locks.

    Searching for this error code on this app leads me nowhere, and Microsoft only provides their usual uninstall/re-install banter.. which ive done 6 times with that app to no avail.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Cast to Xbox one not working

    Pressing the "B" button on the game pad causes the Movies & TV app to remove the "connecting" screen, and the video then becomes visible.

    The bug does not seem to happen if the Movies & TV app is already running before you start casting. So, as another work-around you can start the Movies & TV app on the Xbox One first.

    All of your purchased movies and TV shows are stored online and synced across the devices you use with your Microsoft account. To watch the movies that you purchased from your Surface device to Xbox One, make sure that you are logged in using the same Microsoft
    account. Then, you may go to the Movies & TV app on your Xbox One to watch the movies or TV shows that you purchased.

    Years ago you could log in online to watch movies you purchased. Now with movies anywhere that’s seems to be a solution but it’s also a problem. Why can’t I watch my purchases?

    Digital movies purchased form the Microsoft store are only streamed to your console, there is no download option so you require a connection to view them.

    On a Windows 10 PC you can use the Movies and TV app to download them for offline viewing.
