xbox One movie app shows some movies (on passport media external drive) at 0 bytes even...

Even with the media app installed how can i copy movie files from Mac to the external hdd on the Xbox ?

Hey guys, so I originally bought an external hard drive to store movies and tv shows on for my mac. That worked great and I plugged it into my xbox 1 and used the media player app to watch them. That worked great as well. Then I found out I could format
the hard drive for games and apps to store games on there. So I did that, but now I want to go back to the media player to watch my movies and it won't recognize the hard drive. My mac now won't recognize it either. Did I lose all my movies and tv shows? Thanks
for any help !

It's annoying trying to watch a movie or tv show and this error message comes up all the time. Any ETA on fix? I see some people have this problem too.

I don't believe you can download movies from Microsoft Edge on Xbox One. You can only stream videos from websites on Microsoft Edge. You can download movies or shows onto an external hard drive and then watch those movies on the Xbox One using media player
apps like
VLC for example. If you can expand a little more on what the issue is we'd be happy to help.
