    Xbox One & Mobile Networks

Ok laugh as much as ya like :|

Thing is some of us can only get connected via a mobile network :| yea I live in a cave ..

anyway the mobile networks about at the moment charge stupid prices for limited data

for example one of the better speed ones charge £25 for 7gig download limit

but if its £25 for 7gig how come another mobile ISP can offer a connection at the same speeds and often faster with an 100gig download limit for £10? albeit only for 2 months Xbox One & Mobile Networks :(

with how stupidly Massive game updates are these days 7gig for £25 is an real issue for people like me :|

what I don't understand is how come they can give 100gig for £10 ? it just goes to prove to me these mobile networks are robbing people blind with there pricing with internet limits of 7gig for £25....

    :)

  2. Streaming Movies?

I used to be able to stream movies direct to my xbox one over the wireless network from my mobile phone until recently. I changed my mobile from a Samsung S3 to a LG G3. Now i thought it was the phone... But heres the catch. Both my mobile and laptop can
no longer detect my xbox on the network. But they can find my xbox 360? Any suggestions?

Both profiles on my Xbox 360 won't connect to Xbox live and won't move or delete

I already tried this and it doesn't work. My Xbox 360 still struggles to sign in into both profiles in my xbox. Its like my Xbox only let's one specific network to sign in. I've used my home network, sisters mobile hotspot, and my neighbors network and my
Xbox doesn't let these networks to sign in into my profile. My Xbox only allows my mobile hotspot to sign in into my profile . I have no idea if my Xbox is glitched or not.

    Xbox One & Mobile Networks

I had on the 13/11/2015 100gig download limit less than 24hrs later I have 36.5Gig limit left and I'm still updating Halo TMCC lol :|

anyway of backing the games up on the Xbox One once the games are updated ? would save me a lot of money if things went wrong

In the UK u have 2 options.

    Virgin or BT.

Nobody else (unless you live in Hull) has their own Network.

Sky, Talk Talk, Vodafone, AOL or anyone that's not Virgin or BT is renting BT's lines to provide broadband.

The president of Vodafone recently hit out at BT criticising them for hogging all the fibre lines for themselves and renting out only the copper network to their "partners".

A mobile network may work but it's not really up to the task of internet gaming.

You're barely achieving landline broadband speeds with WiFi.

Mobile Networks = cellular networks, networks which your cellular/smartphones connect to...

I live in NZ and know that telecommunications companies including Vodafone NZ charge NZ$80 for 5GB 4G internet if you use the mobile towers. A good thing I guess with mobile networks is that mobile towers (which your phones connect to, for phone calls and
internet) have a longer Wi-Fi range than home networks. Home networks wi-fi range only work within 30 metres or so of your modem. Cellular/mobile has a longer Wi-Fi transmitting range where you can be several streets and roads away, and still receive mobile
coverage Wi-Fi from the same tower. Vodafone NZ offers home internet 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload speed, unlimited data, and freeview HDTV for NZ$109/month. Even if you have smartphones, their OS will usually warn you or recommend to you, before downloading
files and stuff on your phone, to "connect to a Home Network" rather than raking up the higher charges of using a cellular network.

    Both have their advantages:

Cellular: Significantly longer Wi-Fi range than the limited Wi-Fi range Home Networks use. Convenient when you're away from home like school or work.

Home Network: Significantly cheaper. Handles everyday usage better. Can handle updates which your devices want, without worrying about the high costs involved with mobile internet.

I have noticed though that's Spark NZ's 4G speeds average 67mb/s-109mb/s download speeds and 19-26mb/s upload speeds. 4G upload speeds in NZ are better than what Vodafone NZ offers (stable 10mb/s upload speed) on their Home Network plans.

"Mobile broadband has a significant difference to fixed line broadband: airwaves are limited in bandwidth and number of simultaneous connections when compared to fixed line."

"Airwaves are limited in how many simultaneous connections you can have, and licensing access to this costs a lot more than fixed line network access."

Cant Connect to Xbox Live on Wireless

Another user suggested I try connecting to a mobile hotspot instead of home's wireless network. Strangely, XBL worked when connected to the mobile hotspot. Why would one Xbox One (X) work on my wireless but the other (original) does not?
