Xbox one minecraft split screen glitch?

I purchased the downloadable version of minecraft on my xbox one a couple of days ago. When playing on it yesterday with my brother the split screen worked perfectly. However when we tried to play again today, on player 2's screen there was a thick line
through it. This line was transparent but kind of blurry so you could still play but it was very difficult and distracting. We tried exiting the game and turning the xbox on and of but it was still there. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have
any suggestions of what to try? Thankyou, any help will be appreciated

never mine my console was set at 480 instead of 720, got my info from:

Same here. I'm trying to play with my GF and it popped up suddenly. It goes away if you remove the HUD but it's almost impossible to play without it.

True that, someone needs to get on this glitch soon.

 

Just turn your HUD off and quit the game completely. Then go back into the game. Once you're both back in the game the HUD should still be off. When you turn the HUD back on the line should remain gone
