Xbox One Minecraft Edition crashes when attempting to load or join online game.

I'm not playing online. Just split screen with my wife. Every time I try to load my saved game it says an error has occurred and will return me to main menu but never does. Xbox support was not able to resolve the issue.

 

I have the same problem but only for ONLINE mode, I can split screen and play non online but as soon as i try to connect the screen freezes and the sound shudders and I am flung back to the dashboard

As said above try a "Hard Restart" -
support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

After that if the issue is not resolved feel free to uninstall and reinstall the game if that does not work please try and contact Xbox Support Agents over @ Support.xbox.com

 

I had this problem every time I'd try to load up a game or join a friends game minecraft would freeze up on me and boot me back to the home screen.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it to no avail.

It turned out the reason was because I was loading it with two controllers switched on to one profile ( I was using one while the other was charging) as soon as I turned one off it loaded up straight away.

Been having the press play game followed by 2 grey boxes with nothing happening problem. Tried to uninstall which doesn't work, tried restart and all that.

Thanks Microsoft for not answering anybody's questions or acknowledging there is an issue. As always your commitment to customer service is thoroughly underwhelming.

 

Thanks for sharing the discovered cause of your issue Merl1n79. Im done for the night after having run into this issue and getting fairly frustrated. I too have a second controller plugged in to charge my charge and play battery (need all the juice I can
get for dat hardcore Destiny grinding). So hopefully tomorrow I can test this fix and come back with good news.

 

This Halloween's to me. Won't show me the last or save to load from. Unplugging the console then restarting fixes it. But it will glitch the next time i play split screen. If my player 2 exits first is fine. If player2 is still lived in when player1 closes
the map it glitches.

 

So month passed and still no solution to play online... Nice...

 

I unplugged console from electrical outlet for a few seconds And plugged it back in.... Works fine now.... Coincidence?? I don't know but it works

 

Hey guys, I have a really similar issue as well. So, what I found out was that it would crash if I have two controllers connected to the Xbox One then it would crash as soon as I hit play game on my new or existing world. It would make that same noise you
guys talked about and then crash to the dashboard. What I found that seriously helped was if I signed the second player out (important step) then turned off the second player's controller, then tried it again with just one player it works. Then just turn on
the second controller while in the world and add player. Should work then! Only other problem I have is when a controller turns off from idle, or if I accidentally turned it off - when I try to turn it back on it acts as if there is no controller connected.
Can't even get to the dashboard. Well hoped that helps!

 

Mine dosent load even when it's not an online game, my friends and I made a huge city world and I cannot load it, i press load world and it says 'loading spawn area' (or something along them lines) when the bar is full it dashboards and restarts minecraft,
I don't know what to do I need to play on that world, somebody help please?!?!
