Xbox One/Microsoft Edge

The Edge app on Xbox One keeps closing ( I made a post in another thread that was only a few months old on the same subject), is the problem being looked into or are there work arounds? The problem only happens to me on certain websites, could it be an ad
blocking problem? Also on certain forums when opening a thread the browser goes directly to the bottom of the page, meaning you have to scroll back to the top to read the first post.

Can you create a new tab in Microsoft Edge and get to Facebook after you see the issue?

It could be the specific websites simply do not work, or overload Edge and force it to crash.

One thing you can try is to power cycle (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) your console, to see if that resolves the problems.

As for the forums, some forums will default to jumping to the last post depending on where you click - check on a PC to see if that will also jump to the end of the page, in which case it's not a console issue.

I tried the power cycle, still the same. Sometimes a site will load and work fine one day and the next day the page will load and then Edge closes and I am back at the dashboard.

The sites work fine on PC/360/PS.

Only the Xbox One scrolls to the bottom of forum threads....and it is not the last post but the very bottom of the page....and it is not all forums ( forum-console.worldoftanks.com ).

 

I have found that by clicking "use web pages fomatted for mobile devices" in Edge settings I can now use the sites that were causing problems.

Also the scrolling to bottom of forum threads thing only happens when I am logged into the forum....it is not preference settings as I can log in with other devices and it does not happen.
