Xbox one microsoft app and insider hub update disconnecting resetting router

The Insider Program is where you enroll your Xbox to test preview updates before they go live. Since the factory reset did not work, I suggest uninstalling and then re-installing the apps that are not working.

If that doesn't help and the hard reset and power cycle did not help, then you may need to keep trying a factory reset until the apps begin to work.

You can report problems through the Xbox Insider Hub App since this seems to have happened after your Xbox updated.

Hi I'm Peter an independent advisor, glad to hear you want to try out the insider hub. Anyone can register, you need to install the xbox insider hub first of all on either the PC or Xbox One:

Xbox One

Move over to the Store tab on the dashboard or select Store in the guide.

Choose Search.

Enter insider in the box, then select Xbox Insider Hub.

Select Get or Install.

On Windows 10

The Xbox Insider Hub can be installed from Microsoft Store on your Windows 10 PC.

Press the Start button, type store, then select Microsoft Store.

Select Search, enter insider in the box, then select Xbox Insider Hub.

Select Get or Install.

To sign in for the first time (use your gamer tag):

If you weren’t part of the old Xbox Preview Program, you’ll want to search the store for the Xbox Insider Hub. If you were, however, take a look in the updates section of My Games & Apps to update to the Insider Hub.

Accept the terms and conditions after opening up the Xbox Insider Hub

On the main screen for the Insider Hub, go to Insider Content section and select the Xbox One Update Preview section

Simply press the join button on the next page, and you’re in! Just keep in mind that it will take up to 72 hours to start getting preview updates.

If you're mentioning trying a
factory reset, make sure you select the option to "Reset and Keep my games and apps".

If the issue persists I would suggest reporting the problem through the
Xbox Insider Hub app so that they can take a closer look at any bugs affecting the new Avatar system so a patch can be worked on soon.

We understand your sentiments about your Xbox Elite Series 2 controller keeps on asking to be updated even though its already updated. We replicated this issue in one of our Xbox Controller and was able to process the update in Xbox Accessories App without any issues.

We noticed that you're a member of the Windows Insider Program, as we all know Windows Insider Program serves as a Windows testing ground and very prone to errors. We're afraid that this is one of those errors in the current Windows Insider version.

Hi there,

That's been a known issue for a while now, but no update has been given or posted whether the issue has been fixed yet. I saw they were working on a fix recently with the Insider program preview updates but a live update hasn't been patched yet.

For troubleshooting purposes and to try everything available I recommend doing a

soft factory reset. Just make sure to have your account login information as you will need to re-add your accounts during the reset process.

If the issue persists, I recommend
reporting the problem through the Xbox Insider Hub app.
