  3. No voice detected from any 3.5 inch microphone on this Xbox One controller, but the same microphones work on other devices

Something is wrong with my wireless Xbox One controller. When any 3.5 inch microphone is inserted into the controller, voice audio is not detected at all by the microphone, even through the Xbox One will output audio to it. No one can hear me speak, but
I can still hear other people and the game through the headset. When I try to record a voice message it shows the "No audio detected" message and I hear a small static noise instead of my voice.

I think it is a problem with the controller because most of the microphones work when inserted into a different device, and voice audio will be detected by the connected device, but when connected to the Xbox One controller it simply does not work. I tried
the microphones on the DualShock 4 controller, and it works correctly with audio being detected, the PlayStation 4 showing up the voice controls when I say "PlayStation", and everybody in the party is able to hear me. So don't think the microphones are at
    fault, because they work correctly.

When I first got the Xbox One Rare Replay bundle the controller included with it (which is experiencing this problem) at first did work correctly with 3.5 inch headsets, however it has recently started malfunctioning and has this problem. Can you help me
fix this or give any advice on how to fix the problem? This is not a network issue, by the way. Also, the bundle did not include any microphone so I used one of the 3.5 inch ones I already had.

Equipments for the recording such as Gaming, etc

If you're having trouble hearing your voice in recorded game footage, it's likely that you need to use an external microphone to capture your audio. The Xbox Series S controller has a built-in microphone, but it may not be sensitive enough to pick up your voice clearly during gameplay.

To record your voice, you can use a headset with a built-in microphone or a standalone microphone. A popular choice for gaming content creators is the Blue Yeti microphone, which offers high-quality audio recording and a variety of settings for different recording scenarios.

Once you have a microphone set up, you can adjust the audio settings in the Xbox Series S settings menu to ensure that your voice is being recorded. Make sure that the "Capture party audio" and "Capture microphone audio" settings are both turned on.

If you're still having trouble hearing your voice in recorded game footage after trying these steps, it's possible that there may be a technical issue with your console or recording software. In that case, you may want to reach out to Xbox or the software provider for further assistance.

Sea of thieves and xbox app voice chat won't pick up my microphone

no, i don't use the party chat, i'm in the game that has voice chat, but the microphone isn't bein picked up, so i can hear my crewmates, but they can't hear me and when i go to the xbox app>settings> audio, there is a gray bar right under where it says Voice volume and under that gray bar, you can set the volume, that gray bar looks like it should light up or show you if your microphone is being picked up but it always stays gray. When i go to the xbox game bar and launch a party, it looks like it picks it up there fine, but in the settings of the xbox app it does nothing, same for the game(sea of thieves) whenever i try to speak in the game nothing comes out on my side and the green message icon that shows if your voice is getting picked up doesn't appear at all meaning it's not picking up the microphone for some weird reason.

    Xbox party chat ?

Hi, GWLADYS my name is Jhon, and will be a pleasure help you

There are several options for Xbox party chat without wearing a traditional headset:

    Speakers and Microphone:

Connect a USB microphone and external speakers or soundbar to your Xbox. This provides a hands-free option with decent audio quality, but microphone placement is crucial to avoid picking up background noise.

    Bluetooth Headset with Audio Out:

Some Bluetooth headsets offer dual audio out, allowing you to connect them to your Xbox via Bluetooth for voice chat and your TV via an audio cable for game audio. This can be a comfortable option, but check headset compatibility.

Microsoft Wireless Adapter for Stereo Headphones:

This adapter connects your TV's optical audio output to your Xbox controller, enabling wireless game audio reception on most stereo headphones. While not strictly party chat, you can use the controller microphone or a separate USB microphone connected to the Xbox for voice chat.

    Discord App on Mobile:

Download the Discord app on your phone, join your friends' server, and connect to the voice chat. Use your phone's speaker or headphones for audio and the built-in microphone or separate headphones for chatting. This option involves additional device usage but offers flexibility and access to wider Discord communities.

    Xbox Remote Play:

If you have a PC or laptop with a good microphone and speakers, use the Xbox Remote Play app to stream your Xbox to your PC. You can then use the PC's audio and microphone for party chat and game audio. This requires a strong internet connection for good streaming quality.

    Considerations:

Microphone quality: Regardless of the option you choose, prioritize a decent microphone to ensure clear voice chat with your friends.

Background noise: Be mindful of background noise in your environment and position your microphone accordingly for better voice clarity.

Latency: Bluetooth connections can sometimes introduce audio latency, so consider wired options if lag is a concern.

Ultimately, the best option for you depends on your budget, preference for comfort, and the audio setup you already have. Try out different options and see what works best for your gaming experience!

    I hope this information helps!

    Mic only picking up voices

Main button, go to the right on the system tab, and then enter the Audio option!

See if the mic is activated

And then put the audio monitoring louder than it is. Increase as you wish.

The higher it is, the more your microphone will be "sensitive" to picking up sounds.

But again, the mic has a voice capture software, not sounds like music and ambient noises ok?
