    xbox one microphone doesn't work


    Hi Everybody. Rookie here. My buddy and I are trying to play sniper elite 3 against each other. We both bought new headsets Xbox one model # 1610, 1626. Everything seems to work fine except that we can't talk to each other. Micosoft (I have spent hours with them) help confirmed that my headphone are working properly. I'm relatively sure it is a settings or procedure problem, but we have tried everything.
    When we first click on start a new xbox live game, we can hear each other for the first few seconds until the game actually starts, then the microphone quits. I have confirmed thru skype test that the headset works.
    Please help
    We love this game and are tired of having to leave our phones on speaker so we can talk to each other. Please remember that we are both rookies and don't know some of the terminology that experts use.

    Windows 10 Xbox One Streaming microphone not detected?

    That generic support doesn't really apply here. The problem is with a PC microphone, not an Xbox One microphone. The Xbox App on PC detects the mic and it works if I start a party via the app, but it doesn't work in any capacity on the Xbox One for parties
    or game chat.

    I use Xbox console and I have tried everything I have found as far as trouble shooting. Including the link you sent.

    You nailed it! The only one out of about 5 people trying to help, thank you! I didn’t know that you could use the game OR the Xbox party chat feature. The party chat works!!!

    When you specify model, please do so as Cbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series X etc. no one knows the numbers

    It’s possible this is an anti cheat feature, so you cant spy for the other team,or that the game only lets you hear each other in close proximity. Form an Xbox party instead and see if that works. Call of Duty blocked parties for COD2
