XBox One Micraphone Glitched?

When I plug in my X-Box One headset I Can hear all my friends in party chat through the headset but my Mic Does not pick up sound (I Know this as the green ring does not appear when I am speaking) All of the buttons work correctly eg.. The mute button lights
up when I press it and The beep plays through the headset when i turn the sound up Could possibly be a hardware issue but I do not see why it would be Any Help?

Why I love Gears 3 so much.

this game is extra awesome by far.. The one thing that bugs me the most is the fact that NO ONE HAS A DAMN MICRAPHONE!!!!!!!.... that is a must buy if you are going to have a game like this.

Im having the same issue could you let me know if you find a fix

 

I had this issue, I unplugged my mic and everything. Only way to fix was to to restart my xbox.

 

Yeah I'm having the same problem as you mate :/

 

Have had the same problem in BF4. I could hear other players through my TV only, my viop turned on. Tried the troubleshooting tips as far as checking the mic through party chat and still nothing. Hard started the console and rechecked. Its working now....
I suggest restarting the console aka a hard start

 

im having a problem that i can talk to my friends and they can hear me but i cant hear them..... my mute button works but my sound ones dont... since this new update (16th feb ) my mic hasnt worked
