    Xbox one - mic won't work - advice please


    Newbie to this and its my sons Xbox one. He's driving me mad as his mic hasn't worked now for weeks!! We have tested it on other devices so its ok. He can hear people fine but they just can't hear him.
    Checked settings all obvious seem fine. Please help!! his friends are now being mean and not wanting him to play with them Xbox one - mic won't work - advice please :(

    Yes checked that, its all unmated and audio/mic all on.

    we have checked all the jacks as have now 3 controllers!! the one using being new to try and solve issue. We just reset console too as read on another thread that could be the issue. So frustrating for him, even I'm loosing the will now and I don't even

    I found that if you do a hard reset on the console it fixed the issue to do this in the system settings go to download/updates you should see a reset tab click it choose to keep everything or you will spend hours redownloading your games and apps. Unless
    you have a external hard drive that you store your stuff in in which case. Just unplug that and do the reset you will need to sign back in to your account if you want detailed instructions for the reset i would search on Google how do you do a hard reset (factory
    reset) on an Xbox one. Use xbox or Microsoft affiliates for safety reasons.
