Xbox one mic not working

I tried all of the things people have said and none seem to work for me

 

yay millions of others are struggling like me. my mic has zero volume. It can't register my voice nor let me hear other people, yet the yellow light still turns on when I hit mute. SOMEONE PLEASE FIND A SOLUTION AHHHHH D:

 

since yesterday myself and friends have been having issues with the party chat. Two things are happening, 1. everybody can only hear certain people, 2. Chat is all jarbled up and sounds robotic. Only way to fix is to hard reset the xbox. This has to
be an issue on microsofts side as they party chat has been having issues for the past week or so.

Mister Beep this is a typical MS response. Its obvious they messed something up on their end as myself and several of my friends are having the jittery robotic voice problems since yesterday (coincidence that it started when the new Preview update rolled
out). MS needs to really get on the ball here with the tons of party chat problems that have been going on in the past several weeks. Tired of MS trying to push the problem to the users end be it hardware or whatever. FIX THE PARTY CHAT and make it stable

 

Im haveing this problem at the moment. I cant talk to anyone. not even in gamechat. my mic just isnt getting picked up.

 

When ever I plug in my mic for the Xbox one my controller just disconnects and will not turn on again unless I unplug the mic.

 

Same problem. I did customer support trouble shooting (still had to pay for shipping) and replacement headset arrived last week.. doesn't work. I can hear but they can't hear me.. on 2 different controllers. Some people have reported static from me. I can't
do Destiny raids, this sucks. Kind of an important feature that seems broken......

Update Preview Forums and post up a new thread so that the preview team can address it.

If you are not in the update preview and your mic isn't working, please
contact us via phone or chat to set up a replacement for your headset. You can also use the
Online Service Center to set it up by yourself. If a replacement mic doesn't help you out, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into and troubleshooting you've completed. This way we can get you the
individual support that works best on the forums. This thread is a bit old, and we want to make sure you're getting the most up to date troubleshooting steps if you are not in the preview program. Thanks for understanding!
