    Xbox One mic not working in game chat.


    So my headset sound works just fine but my mic does not. I’ve bought a new headset but came across the same problem. I’ve rephrased the question everyway I can on google search with the same unhelpful answers to obvious issues
    that aren’t my own. It’s not muted. Cross gameply and chat is enabled. my controller is fully charged. Volume is turned up for the mic. It may even show an indigcator in an online game that I spoke. But there is no sound. For some reason it only works in party
    chat. But once I go to game chat it stops working completely and it’s not muted on the xbox or my headset control. I’m at a loss as to what is wrong. Or where the source of the problem is... buying a new headset didn’t help both wireless and wired. Is it the
    controller? If anyone has a magic solution I’d be grateful. It’s driving me crazy being unable to communicate with other gamers.

    Hi Isaiah,

    It seems the issue is related to the in-game chat option not working properly in a streaming format since your mic and headsets works in other formats and they work separately on different displays.

    What happens if you invite your brother's profile to an Xbox Live party chat and communicate that way? Is there an audio or mic issue when forming a party chat and choosing to not speak in game chat?
