    Xbox One Mic makes others hear loud Pops and Static


    Having a problem with my Xbox One mic...I think. When in a party chat I am able to hear everything just fine but I have to hold the cable/controller a certain way for the other members of my party to be able to hear me. They tell me that all they hear
    is a popping sound while I am moving the controller and mic cord around to make adjustments and my voice cuts in and out. My first thought was to replace the mic becasue the cord probably went bad but then my friend gave me a brand new mic to use and when
    I plugged it in it worked 100% for the first day and then started doing the exact same thing every day since. It can't possibly be the mic itself right? I am using the standard mic that came with the xbox.

    Stereo Headset Adapter - Microphone does not work (at all), and only sends loud static to listeners

    I am using the Stereo Headset Adapter with the Turtle Beach X12 headset, and have it plugged in as described in the

    cable diagram here    .

    I can hear game audio fine.

    I can hear others in party chat fine.

    They hear a loud static and cannot hear me talk.

    When I use the mute button on the adapter, it lights up, and they no longer hear the loud static. I can only communicate with morse code...

    Now to cover the standard questions that are being asked here:

    • DONE - Power cycle your Xbox One console.
    • DONE - Update your Xbox One Controller.
    • DONE - Make sure your controller has fresh batteries.
    • DONE - Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset's 3.5mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter.
    • N/A - Try your headset with another device or another controller

    Mic Monitoring not working

    Just got the new Xbox One S and a Hyper X Cloud CORE headset. Even with mic monitoring turned up all the way, I can barely hear a whisper of myself in the headset. Otherwise the headset it working perfectly, game and music volume is loud, I can hear others
    talk. I also verified the mic was working by leaving a voice message and replaying it, it comes through loud and clear. I was under the impression the mic monitoring would work for any stereo headset when plugged into the new 3.5mm jacks, is this not the
    case?

    Windows 10 Xbox App Mic makes awful noise when I Join Parties

    I have been experiencing the same exact problem, I can use my mic no problem on Discord but once I join a party on the Windows 10 Xbox app all my friends hear is a loud static noise from me. No solution yet.... ridiculous.

    Thanks for that and even though I've done this before I have just now done it again but the problem still exists.

    I don't understand how others can here me loud and clear and I can hear them loud and clear and yet I cannot hear my own voice at all in my earphones. How is it even possible??

    Others can hear me through my mic but I can't hear me through the same mic!!!??

    XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

    so hear is the deal guys. i was in beta. the small pops is a problem with the sound codec. it was constant through the beta. I think the static when you hear people speak it the mic being too close. on my xp400's i was almost eating the mic on the x07's
    i have it away from me a bit more. just keep chatiing until you don;t get the static. I hope it gets better eventually it has to.

    I am having the same issue. Although I bought two of them. One for myself, and one for my brother. My friends say that we both sound like we are whispering and they are hearing echo. If I mute my Mic the echo stops. The sound pops and crackles and the same
    issue with the plug, if it's touched there's a loud popping. Very upset because these are brand new, made by Microsoft, and they cost me $80 a piece.
