Xbox One Mic Issues

I currently have 2 xbox one controllers, two adapters and two mics one xbox stereo headset and one apple earphones mic. No combination of these devices allows my voice to be picked up in party chat or skype however i can hear everyone else fine. Also whenever
i adjust the volume this is picked up. I know that at least one of the adapters works and i know that the earphone mic works for sure I do not wish do buy any new equipment. I have tried hard reseting the xbox, the mics are not muted either I cant find a suitable
solution anywhere.

Weird issue with mic

Sounds like NAT or network issues. Sometimes when two people have a certain network config you can play and chat with other people just fine, but not someone else with your same issue.

My wife and I used to have a similar issue with chat in OG Destiny. Check your NAT and make sure it is open not moderate or strict.

Original xbox one mic issues

I noticed if I power my system down and power the system up by turning on my controller first I dont seem to have this issue. If i use Xbox on it wont allow the headset mic to boot up. It is some kind of bug. I would imagine that when the hardware starts
to detect the different logic coded on the controllers that for some reason it times out when trying to boot up that operation. If the controller is the primary method of turning on your system then you shouldn't have any issue. Let me know if this helps!

Same. I've posted several times about it in different threads. My thinking is that it's a pretty widespread bug that MS can't yet track down. I've been stuck with no chat capability for the past month and a half (since I bought the xbox) and I think my friends
are slowly forgetting about me. It's not like I can actually talk to them...

I have had similar issues. Update your controller firmware.
A new update was released recently. Use the USB play/charge cable method when updating the controller with the adapter connected. You will have to do this with every controller.

Try using earbuds and mic from a phone to test when plugged into a controller adapter not the 3.5mm plug of the controller.

Hi,

Sign yourself in as usual, plug your mic in and then try this:

Go to the home screen
Select your little profile icon at the top left next to notifications
Select Choose This Person on your profile

Test it in a party with just yourself in, you should see the green blip light up if it's picking up your voice.

I've done all that, I have tried every solution presented on the internet. Its driving me nuts, having to chat on the xbox app and its driving me crazy why this has happened.
