xbox one mic issues with party

So lately I've been in parties with my friends all in a party in the middle of our game. Everything's fine until suddenly one of our mics cut out then it comes back but in game chat, even though we are still in the party. We can't hear them, and they or
in some cases myself can't hear them. My mic does not work also when I change batteries or accidentally unplug my mic, the same thing happens but I hear my friends through my speakers. I have turtle beach headphones that's are in good condition. Idk what's
wrong but my friends and I want it fixed.

MIC VOLUME SOOOOOO LOW

what is with this xbox one party system, my friends mic is low even to the point when i just have party volume and no game volume, he has the same issue with me... cant xbox implement mic boost? or let me manually increase his volume in party.. cant play
like this.

Lips number one hits microphone problem

Is the mic an xbox usb mic or just a 3rd party mic? If it's 3rd party it may not work with the titles properly.

Since this isn't an official Xbox headset, we don't have all of the troubleshooting steps. You might want to reach out to
Turtle Beach support, to see if they have some additional steps as well. It's very possible this could be a NAT issue though, so let's have you try

this guide to see if it helps.

For the Mic issue. It may not be your problem, Certain people have connection issues that are disconnecting the chat with your party overtime they join your party. You must leave the party and then invite them to your party and make sure that you are party
leader and that the connection is good before inviting the other members of the party. Close the party and if they still can't hear you ask them to unplug the mic holder from the controller and unplug the wire from the xbox. if the wire is not plugged into
the xbox then they need to install their controller and their headset to the xbox one.

To clarify my issue for comparison. I can hear other people with the Xbox One Chat Headset. They cannot hear me. In addition the mic icon in the Xbox Live Party Chat Menu is ALWAYS ON regardless of whether or not the mic is plugged in or the controller is
on or off. The mic icon is ALWAYS ON.

Which mic are you trying to use? There are a number of 3rd party mics out there that are compatible and work with Xbox One.
