    Xbox one mic issue when on Fortnite


    Mic constantly drops out and no one can hear me. Only happens with Fortnite and other games chat is perfectly fine. Sometime s restart fixes and sometimes not. I have tried every fix found online and nothing solves it.

    I have two different Xbox one consoles with two different headsets and get the same issue on both.

    Mic will not work consistently. It may work 1 out of 10 times when starting the game. We've done every trick, from turn mic off in Fortnite and back on. We've tested in Skype. We've verified every setting Xbox privacy settings. We bought 2 headsets, 1
    new controller, new batteries and a brand new Xbox with another new controller. We've updated firmware on new controllers. Still same issue. This is a Fortnite on Xbox issue... From the thread here it seems to be going on for months. What's the deal? THE FIX
    IS TO THROW YOUR XBOX IN THE TRASH AND GET A PLAYSTATION IS WHAT I'M HEARING!

    The workaround is pretty easy, join your friends' party, and when you're in the lobby, go to the Fortnite settings, head to the sound settings, disable voice chat, save changes, then enable it again, and save changes again. It works every single time for

    This seems to be an issue with the Fortnite game (yes, maybe exclusive on Xbox platform, but the people than calp help you are Fortnite developers).
