Xbox One Mic Hearing Problems

When I talk into my mic it would indicate that I'm talking, but when my friend would talk I couldn't hear him and when I try to turn up/down the volume, I couldn't hear the beeping noise. Can somebody please help?

it is temperamental you join a xbox party and either its ok or you have the following problems , they can barley hear you , they can hear you but you can't hear them or voice goes threw connect , to solve the problem first have to take the mic out and in thats for the problem when can barely hear you which sometimes doesn't work , turn it off and on and finally if that doesn't work have to take the usb out for a minute or so and then back in . the comfort of the headset is poorClick to expand...

X1 Party Issue

Sometimes when partying up, my mic or my friends' mic wont work (cant hear anyone and they cant hear you) and usually the only way to get it to work is restarting the console. Even then it isnt guaranteed to start working though. Its pretty frustrating and Im just curious if this is a problem others have encountered.

I have this exact same problem all of the time. I wish MS would fix or address it. It's very annoying.

3 years later still a problem. I am having the same problem. I got my Xbox One S a couple days ago and the mic doesn't work. I can hear everything, but no one can hear me. Everyone in game chat can see my mic symbol. I have tried using apple headphones for
a mic doesn't work. Bought adapter for my Xbox 360 turtle beaches doesn't work. I have tired a a lot of things but nothing works...

It's on xbox one s console. No problems hearing friends on mic and such. But when we go online on multiplayer, it kicks me and says connection is to slow.

To clarify my issue for comparison. I can hear other people with the Xbox One Chat Headset. They cannot hear me. In addition the mic icon in the Xbox Live Party Chat Menu is ALWAYS ON regardless of whether or not the mic is plugged in or the controller is
on or off. The mic icon is ALWAYS ON.
