Xbox One Mic, Can hear others but will Talk

One day while playing destiny I left a game where (to my knowledge) I was talking with others, joined a party with a friend and suddenly, I was no longer able to speak. This was about a month ago. My mic will pick up sound like normal and if I press the
volume all the way up it starts to beep like normal. But no matter what I try it will not talk back to others. I am stuck using kinect which luckily I have but it's not a great replacement. With destiny's sound system unchangeable it can be hard to hear others
and sometimes for others it can be hard for them to hear me. I NEED to get this issue revolved as I love multiplayer games and communication is needed for a lot of them.

Thins I've tried

- The mic is NOT muted. (Please don't mention this, I've got a lot of suggestions for it in the past month)

-Tried New Mic

-New controller

-Hard Resets

-Going to my profile and choosing " Choose this Profile with the mic in"

-Pulled the Power Chord from the back

-Tried taking off the kinect

-Changed my DNS settings

-I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting I was chatting with Xbox Support for like an hour and ran through all the basics before he started giving me options like, is the mic muted...

Xbox One Headset, Can hear Others But Mic Won't talk back

I was recently playing Bo2 when suddenly my mic wouldn't let me talk. I could hear my friends and the sound that was coming through it but they couldn't hear me when I tried to talk back to them. I thought my mic was on mute but wasn't and I hadn't my mic
plugged in all the way to. I don't think I've ever come across something like and I'm 100% sure my mic doesnt have a short in it because it works just fine. What should i do??

Hey , I have been having major problem . My Xbox one headset allows me to hear my friends but they cannot hear me. I have gone through all basic troubleshooting multiple times already. These step steps include , power cycles , reset , open NAT type, new
controllers, new headsets , updating my security settings, etc. Can anyone help me?

 

I'm having similar issue right now. I can hear everything but for some reason no one is talking and I know they have headsets. I can tell I'm talking from screen but hear no response. All I hear is the game but no one talking

 

i have also ran into the same problem and also talked to xbox support. i had done everything i could do to find a fix, but like yourself nothing worked. As this is a hardware problem i am going to go into the place i purchased the xbox one and get an exchange.
i would strongly recommend you do this yourself
