Xbox one Mic assignment

For the mic issue, try going to the Xbox Accessories app and assign the headset to your profile.

Try assigning the headset to your profile via the accessories app. When it's not assigned you get audio but the mic if shut off.

Have you tried assigning the controller to your account to see if that makes your mic work?

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Under Kinect & devices, select Devices & accessories.
5. Select the controller. The current account assigned to that controller is indicated.
6. To assign the controller to another account, select the account currently assigned to it.
7. Select Assign to someone.
8. Select the account that you want to assign to the controller.

After this open a party and see if your circle changes color when you talk.

In lips, click on the song you want to sing but before it starts look around your options. There is one there (I can't remember which it is) that will assign the mics to specific players.

make sure in settings/Devices the controller your mic is plugged into is assigned to your profile.
