    Xbox one mic adapter


    Hi Xbox community I have a bit of a problem. I recently purchased a mic adapter for my Xbox one. I went to go plug in my old 360 headset into the Xbox and now I can only hear people I can't speak. I went to go test the mic on my 360 and I could talk just
    fine through it. My controller is up to date and I've tried resetting the Xbox any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks

    Headset Adapter and Beats Studio Headset

    All you need is a $5 omtp to ctia adapter on ebay. I have the beats studios and the mic was not working bought this adapter and inline mic now works with the xbox one adapter!

    so... I call shenanigans.

    The mic adapter also came with a cable to facilitate update of the controller to support the adapter.

    Stereo Headset Adapter Mic Monitoring

    If you use the adapter from xbox you will not be able to have mic monitoring. you can buy an adapter from turtle beach that allows mic monitoring. Xbox is being really dumb not letting people use mic monitoring with the xbox adapters

    Hi there Horito,

    Thanks for the reply. I was able to take a look into some resources. If you are using an Xbox One Controller, you will need the following components:

    • Xbox One headset adapter
    • 3.5mm CTIA Splitter cable (3 lines on the jack)
    • 3.5mm jack to jack auxiliary cable ( 2 lines on the jack)
    You will need to connect the Xbox One headset adapter to the Xbox One Controller. Then the 3.5mm CTIA Splitter cable (3 lines on the jack) connects into the adapter. The splitter cable will be identified as headset and mic. The 3.5mm jack to jack auxiliary
    cable ( 2 lines on the jack) will be used in the mic cord to the Yeti Mic.

    I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?
