    Xbox one menu ignoring remote


    I use a an Xbox remote as I mostly watch tv/netflix/YouTube. There are no controllers on.

    When I am at the start menu and hit the select button, the selected option flashes, but does nothing. I need to use the remote in the xbox app on my phone to go into YouTube or Netflix, then the remote works fine in the app.

    Since the icon flashes the remote is definitely sending the button press.

    Hello, with the Xbox powered on press and hold the power button for 10 seconds or so, once the Xbox has powered off pull the power cable out of the Xbox and leave it out for at least two minutes. Then reconnect the power cable to your Xbox and power on
    using the power button on the Xbox and give your remote a try please.

    try clearing the console cache, reinstall the app on your phone, you may be experiencing some delay in sending the pro console control information, maybe these procedures will help.

    Tgank you, but I think you misunderstood. The one on the phone works fine, it is the physical remote that it is ignoring.
