Xbox one menu/guide audio and selection glitch

Thanks for the post! Have you tried giving your Xbox One console a power cycle? Try holding the power button on your Xbox One until the console fully powers down and then unplug power from the back and let it sit for 5 minutes. Once those 5 minutes are up,
plug everything back in and power back on.

Since the Xbox One has a built-in surge protector, I also recommend plugging the power directly into the wall outlet.

Sorry to hear about the game audio issues. Try setting the audio output to Stereo for Optical audio and HDMI audio (which ever applies). To do so, follow these steps:

• On your Xbox One controller, press the Menu button and select Settings.
• From the Settings menu, select Display & Sound.
• From this menu, you can change the audio output setting's in the far right group.
  

Change the audio output to Stereo and let me know how it goes!

It seems that you are in the Settings menu proper. The gear I described will be located in the OneGuide, which is the menu that slides out when you press/release the Xbox button on the console. Once the guide is open and you go all the way to the right,
it highlights the gear symbol and you can see options there on the OneGuide that relate to audio settings if you have the headset plugged into the controller. Then just scroll down to Audio, select it with the A button and it will show you the menu for the
audio settings. If you are performing these actions and you do not see Audio listed to select, then your controller is not recognizing the headset.

Yes go to your cable box settings menu. Then audio output and make sure digital output is not selected. Xbox one dies not support digital audio input. Hope this helps.

To change headset audio settings:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and select System > Settings.
2. Select General > Volume & audio output.
3. Choose one of the headset audio options.
