Xbox one memory is too small

Okay let's start off with I've been playing xbox since I was like 12. The people who have helped me with issues are great and I love this system. BUT how can you brag about a 500gb hard drive when ONLY 362gb are available to me. I understand the OS need
space but if you advertise 500gb I should get 500gb not 362. Also, I have currently 8 games installed into my xbox and I'm almost out of space! Already! Really!?!? I deleted 2 and I'm down to half! I looked on the internet and discovered that Microsoft is
coming out with external hard drive for the one which I'm not cool with because I have to buy a hard drive to support a already smaller hard drive why?? the external hard drive is unnecessary why not go back to the old days instead of trying to be everything
at once and erase the saving games to hard drives! If i download sure save it to the hard drive but installing games is pointless I don't want to spend more money on memory when I already spent the $500 on the day one edition. What happened to putting in a
disc and being able to play That's it.? I don't think installing the game is gonna help because if you seriously game enough you'll be buying hard drive after hard drive etc. The console being "top of the line" should just accept discs and play no installing
to the hard drive except for saves and DLC. My 360 probably can hold double if not triple the games the xbox one will. I mean if it's gonna be over 5 years for a new console and you can only hold 12 games per hard drive think of the money we would be spending
to keep the memory space expanding. so my real question is why do I have to pay for this new hard drive when I already don't get the space "promised" and why do we have to install games to the damn hard drive. WE ARE GAMERS WE SUGGEST AND LEND GAMES TO FRIENDS.
Le. Us play a game without the install of discs so I can have my d*** 362gb and go for a few years without buying an external hard drive cause I for sure dont sell games back because I like to reminisce on the older games every now and then!

    :)

    WTF is wrong with this

Possibly try a larger memory flash drive. It might be because yours is too small. Also, if you know how to reformat a flash drive, that might help as well in an issue like this.

External hard drive support is coming in June!

Just to address what you're saying, I feel your pain with the storage size being fairly limiting, but in this day and age, installing to the hard drive is really the only way to achieve the kind of speed and graphical fidelity necessary. A blu-ray drive
is not fast enough to be able to read everything the system needs to be doing simultaneously only from a disc, especially considering the data density of the optical discs on which the games come. Some of this task needs to be offloaded to the hard drive,
which speeds things up considerably in terms of file swapping and rendering.

Hang in there, WINTER IS COMING! Ahem, sorry, Game of Thrones. I meant "JUNE IS COMING, AND SO IS EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE SUPPORT!" Yay! Xbox one memory is too small :)

External Hard Drive is coming very soon via the June update. The update will enable support of USB 3.0 drives of at least 256GB or larger. Two drives can be connected and management at one time. You will be able to transfer full games including all DLC and
    app to the storage device
