Xbox one memory full with 5 games

I am new to the Xbox one internet download 110 Mbps upload 12 Mbps ping 19ms no apps installed only games.

I am obviously doing something wrong it is taken literally days to download the Halo master collection using a code and hours for assassin creed unity and tomb raider from disc and I have less than 10% left of free space I have completely wiped them all
off and reinstalled I have been informed that Halo takes up a lot of space but only room for 5 games any advice would be appreciated

You can simply buy any USB 2.0 (or better) USB drive of up to 2TB capacity to add to your Xbox 360 storage.

Keep in mind however, that the USB drive won't allow you to play original Xbox games (the old ones before the Xbox 360). Only the original Xbox 360 hard drive does that. But if you already have a Xbox 360 with harddrive, and you just need more space, simply
get any USB drive of your desired capacity.

Also beware, that some USB hard drives might draw more power than the console's USB ports can provide. Therefore I'd recommend using harddrives with a separate power source that you plug into a wall outlet, instead of those hard drives with a single USB
cord only.

Hi. The memory on my Xbox 360 original E3 is full. And I want to buy a external hard drive so I have more capacity. So I wounder which kind I can buy to make sure that everything works?

 

A 500gb xbox one only allows 386gb of user memory storage with the rest reserved for the OS and updates.

Depending on the games you could easily fill 386 GB of space

Halo MCC is 65 gb alone

Tombraider is 15gb

Assassins creed unity is 40gb

Also just because that is the download speed you are receving on your home does not mean the xbox is using the full bandwidth of your connection.

You can check how much it is using whilst downloading by performing a bandwidth test under the network settings

 

Fir disc based games appear offline when you are downloading and they will install quicker, with the digital games you will also be downloading updates which adds to the time it takes.

If you are mainly buying digital games your vest option is to buy an external hard drive.

 

I would also advise you to get an external hard drive as 500 gigg is not a lot of memory.

I got a 5TB external hard drive off amazon for £130

But there are cheaper options i think you can get a 1TB for about £50

Just make sure if you do decide to get an external hdd you get one that is usb3 otherwise it wont work

 

What is the best external HDD USB-3 drive for performance? I am looking into getting one for my XboxOne.

How about a very large USB-3 dongle rather than a HDD?

 

If memory serves me right, any external storage device has to be over 320GB for it to work (At least, i'm sure that's what M$ said when they first made external storage possible)

Really good easy to format just plug it in to the xbox 1 and it dose the rest its self.

Turns on when your xbox is on and turns its self off when you turn your xbox off.

 

The best is Western Digital My Book series. In test it has been proven to have the fastest read and write speed acctually speeding up load times compared to the standard xbox one internal drive

You can pretty much use any drive that can be connected via a USB port. Even regular internal drives such as WD Blue and WD Black can be used if connected via a SATA to USB cable or a simple enclosure.

I could suggest checking out the WD portable external drives:
