Xbox One media remote

Discus and support Xbox One media remote in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; So i have a sony tv and a cox cable box.     Xbox One media remote


    So i have a sony tv and a cox cable box. I was able to successfully set up oneguide with the cable box but i now have an issue with the media one remote. I have tried several times to get my xbox and tv to connect to where i can control the tv’s power
    and volume with the xbox media remote but no matter what the tv nor the cable box ever receive the commands from the xbox, i also have no connect but i do have an IR extender cable. What do i need to do to make sure my xbox and xbox one media remote can command
    my tv? I’ve gone through several different support articles and i still get no result.

    IR Extender or Repeater Question

    No, not in the way I need. The Kinect does push IR signal to other devices, but it wont accept a signal from the remote to push to the One. I thought it was at first too, but it is not according to Microsofts XBOX One Media Remote Page. See the "Using

    Unfortunately the Xbox 360 remote is not compatible with the Xbox One and at the moment the Microsoft are not planning to change this.

    Microsoft may redesign and release the Xbox One media remote similar to how they did with the Xbox 360 remote in the future but this is just speculation however I believe there are some 3rd party remotes that maybe have the use of a number pad to change
    channel such as Logitech Harmony remote range. I believe the control is designed like this to possible make people use the Kinect features more.
