Xbox One Media Remote Review

Just got my hands on one of these remotes. My first impressions, were it looked bigger than I had anticipated. It feels very comfortable in the hand, coated in rubber. It has a very sturdy feel to it, more than I can say about the Controller. The moment
you pick it up the back-lit LED comes on (nice touch) and seems very responsive, also it doesn't need to be pointed at the console. All in all I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anybody to add to their Xbox One accessories.

Xbox One Media remote will work with an Xbox One X. I use mine regularly.

Hmmm wondering when I'll get mine preordered from Eb games didn't get shipping notice yet. When I preorder games from them I always receive it on release day

 

I noticed they aren't available everywhere yet ??? None of my local electronics stores in Phoenix AZ seem to have them on stock .... :/ I want one

I couldnt find one anywhere as well until I came here. Most Gamestops dont know any expected time when they will arrive. However, if you order from the Microsoft store you can receive it within a few days. It does still say pre-order for some reason but
that is not accurate. I ordered mine yesterday (3/13) and I will receive it on Monday (3/17)

 

My volume/ mute will NOT work between 0.5m- 8meters (At the wall). Most couches around the world are around that range which makes this useless if you control your tv via your xbox. Thought it was my glass coffee table interfering with the IR signal at first
but then I covered it & had no change. Thinking of giving it back tomorrow.

 

Juts got mine in today and I like it. A solid 7/10 I don't know what you are doing but I have to point my remote at my console for it to work. Also not that its an issue with the remote but My xb1 always has a hard time controlling my Marantz SR6003 so the
volume never works. I would also love a power button for each device.

 

Just received mine and first impressions are very good from a aesthetics point of view its a pleasure to leave it laying on my coffee table, just a couple of niggles: Should have had a direct button to "Go to TV" as apart from the US most of us have to still
got to set top box and not make much use of the One Guide . Also seeing as Wifi Direct is an option would have preferred this over infa-red as When im playing in a different room (Via very long HDMI cable) It would have been awesome to not have to line of
sight this little beauty. 7/10

 

I've been playing around with my remote and its great but i have to major complaints that i wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem with. Youtube! it doesn't navigate entirely with youtube, anyone having the same problem? And the volume up and
down seems a little difficult for the xbox to read.
