Xbox One media remote & Onkyo TXSR602

I just got the media remote. Does anyone know how to program it w/an a Onkyo TXSR602- connected via optical audio cable? Idk where the codes are to program into the remote nor the steps on how to do it. It came w/no instructions on how to do this. Can
someone kindly help?

Xbox One "media remotes"

Does anyone know if any 3rd parties have/are working on a remote control for the X1 similar to the 360 media remote? I know you can use smartglass in this function, but I much prefer a dedicated hardware device with proper buttons.

Game here in the UK are doing one, but it looks crap, to be honest.

Anyone else come across any others yet?

Just so we're on the same page, when you mention the Xbox One remote control, are you referring to the

Media Remote or the Xbox One
controller?

If this is in regards to the media remote, let's try out our

troubleshooter when you get a chance. In addition to that guide we recommend reaching out to the monitors
manufacturer to explore some possible options & for some more insight regarding the compatibility between your monitor & the Xbox One remote control.

The new media remote works just like your controller. The programming is done under settings in your Xbox One. The remote uses the IR Blaster in your Kinect to control your TV, receiver and cable box. If this hasn't been set up in the Xbox One...you wont
be able to control those items.

So how do I get the remote to control volume on top of navigate the Blu-ray menu/set up audio options?

I think you have to set it up on the Xbox TV Device setup area. It lets you search from there on how to setup different devices. As far as I know, the remote doesn't actually control the other devices directly but through the Xbox... could be wrong though.

This thread has been helpful, but my family hated the setup as now they had to deal with two different AV switches, one for TV and another for Onkyo receiver.

I have finally just plugged in my Frontier Motorola box into Onkyo receiver. I really want to use Xbox one and the media remote.

Does anyone know a good (reasonable) TV provider in US Northwest where this works wonderfully. Frontier does not have contracts, so I will probably switch only TV.
