Xbox One Media Remote is slow / laggy / non responsive

it uses the Kinect's IR blaster (which is lame)

Having a lot of issues with the new media remote, works sometimes and not others - seems slow and laggy when making button presses, does not turn on Xbox One etc.

I don't think there are any issues with the Kinect's IR, will change volume on TV without issue when issuing voice commands... Wonder if I just have a bum remote.

Is anyone else is experiencing the same issues?

Xbox One Official Media Remote is now VERY slow

The Official media remote is now working really slow after the new experience update. It looks like you have purposely put a delay on the time the xbox one can receive an IR signal. This makes the official media remote incredibly tedious. Also not being
able to hold the xbox button on the remote for 3 seconds to turn off the console is incredibly annoying. As it currently stands the xbox one official media remote has become like a brick.

Where is it best to repost this problem so you guys can address this issue. I'm pretty sure its a simple fix that has been overlooked.

Same here. After the update, the response time is super slow. I loved using the remote to watch Netflix but now it's no use. Can't really scrub, moving around is barely working at best and hate that I can't even turn off using the Media remote anymore. Looks
like the press-on feature is removed for whatever reason.

Fix this asap.
